I was talking to Dan the other day about Apple products, and I decided to buy the nano. I got the black one 4GB. I'm gonna sell the mini--I never cared for that thing, but luckily the gold color is pretty rare and goes for more on ebay. Here's a pic of it with my 3220 and mini. So far the battery is much better and I like the size much better.
Ugh, Goodbye iPod mini! I had that thing for a while, and it SUCKED. I went through about 5 until i got a working one out of apple, and then it was stolen. Now i'm using a 4th generation (click wheel B&W) and have not looked back....until it stopped working and had to force apple to give me a new one.
^^What Wiggy said.^^ On a side note, I saw a commercial for the Nano. It looks pretty cool. Too bad that I alreay have a PDA with a 4GB HD (but I like the fact that it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built into it ).
Nice pic! The nano looks awesome. 2 questions, I have the old 40GB from 2 Christmases ago.... 1-Does anyone know if there is a way to back up your iPod? I only have some songs I put on on my actual computer, hte rest are from other people's computers--it occurs to me if I ever lost it I would be SOL. 2-I know you can override certain aspects (like making it Mac AND PC compatible) but I didn't do any of that at the beginning and am wondering if it's too late? Thanks everyone!
Nano-Nano? that reminds me of this show when i was a kid called Mork & Mindy...lol Nice one Airb, i'm thinking of getting my niece a Nano...
I saw the commertial for it, too... looks & sounds really great. i'd like to buy one but I'm not sure if I have the money yet... lol.... how much are they going for?? And do you all think that with the release of the nano, that the mini &shuffle prices will go down??
My friend ordered the exact thing. I will check his out when he gets it and play around with it to see if I don't wanna get one too and join the club.
For those with small music collections, the Nano is fine. For me, there is just not enough memory in it for all of the music I have. The Nano is (I think) only $50 less than the 20GB regular color iPod. For those of you getting the Nano, ENJOY!! iPods are a blast in whatever iteration you have. They are more than WORTH the money. Any mp3 player is a music lovers dream!! :highclap: :highclap:
I watched it as a kid and loved it. I loved the "Orkan" words Robin Williams came up with and when he would sit down with his head. Hilarious!! :lmao:
My brother was telling me about a site he was on where they tested the nano's durability. He said they threw it out of a car that was going 50MPH and the thing still worked. Then they actually ran over it with a car and it still worked. Of course the display was all jacked up but that is pretty amazing. If I find the link I will post it.
I know someone that's dropped a mini countless times, and shut it up in the door. (The mini was in their jacket pocket, which was shut up in the door) like you said the screen was messed up but it remarkably still worked.
It's been great so far. It does SCRATCH like a mother f'er. My back "steel" is totally scratched up, it looks like it's been through a war! Even the front has a few scratches, just my finger put a small scratch on it. I'll be taking it back if it keeps that up, for a new one. There's just no reason why it should scratch that easy!
I played with one yesterday I was surprised at how small it was, very nice. I'm not a big fan of ipod, I guess since I've been using smartphones forever and have pretty much always had my music collections with me at all times, I would hate to add an extra device.
Yeah... my friend' Black NanoPod is now a week old, & it looks like it's been dragged for miles behind a car!!! Awesome but Fragile looking device!!!
WHY would someone do this to the poor defenseless NanoPod??? What did it do to them??? So sad am I now!!!
^^^A response to Wiggy's above statement^^^ In the following post, Wiggy is portrayed as Yoda and I am a young apprentice of Yoda. And now the situation begins in a galaxy that is not too far, far away....... Me: Master Yoda, I completely agree with you. Me: Master Yoda, do you know where I can find information about the iPod Nano? I do not know what it is. Yoda: Find what you are looking for, you will. Me: But I need your guidance Master. I do not know where to start looking. Yoda: I will help you not. Me: But why Master. Yoda: Seek out the information that you desire you must. Me: I understand why you are doing this. You are trying to teach me how to not rely on anyone else by applying myself. Yoda: Know what I am talking about, do you? Hmmm...? Me: Yes master. I will start looking for information about the i-Pod Nano right away. (Yoda leaves the room and I start looking for information about the Nano...) As you can see, I am a little bored. I hope someone found this funny. I couldn't help it since Wiggy's statement reminded of Star Wars and Yoda.
I'm speechless. I've never seen an iPod autopsy before and I hope I don't see one again! :crying: There should be a law against such inhumane iPod abuse. I'm going to start a group - P.E.T.i = People for the Ethical Treatment of iPods. Let us unite to protect present and future iPods from such mistreatment and abuse!!! Join now!! atriot:
Or it could be P.E.T.I = People Eat Tasty iPods. Mmm, crunchy. That was a interesting review, thanks AJE.
My iPod Nano has apparently been delayed. I just got a email from Apple today saying that it won't ship till on or before 9-28 now. Ugh!!!
