iphone doesnt have a steady wifi connection?

it just started doing it. In my house it connects to my wifi as it always had. Now for some reason it connects then as soon as you go to google something or even go into apps it switches from wifi to 3g then back then "E" then back to wifi and back 3g and so on.
I guess it could be my router but my laptop works fine doesnt seem to act like the iphone does is there any settings I can check?

AT&T Mobility, MTC Touch

Try this, goto settings, general, scroll all the way down to reset, and in there select reset network settings. This will erase all the wifi profiles and reset all involved on this (does not reset anything else). After that reconnect to wifi again.
