Wednesday is the iPhone 7 announcement. Some updates expected:
iPhone 7 to Include Five Colors, IPX7 Water Resistance, Dual 12MP Cameras on Plus Model. No headphone jack, earpiece to double as speaker. Click less home button.

I'm on the update plan every year. Probably with get the 7 or 7 plus?

    Here is the rumor mill.

I hope the reality isn't a let down like the rumors vs reality of the Note 7. I hope you guys get everything you want from the iPhone. Not that I'm waivering, just that I'm authentically happy for anyone whose expectations get rewarded.

It will be interesting to see the final pricing. None of them seem to be competing on pricing, rather follow the leader like the carriers were doing until T-Mobile turned it around. Who wants to pay 1K for a phone?

I am on an yearly upgrade cycle as well.

I don't like Apple doing away with the 64 gb, I was under the impression that it was the most popular model and certainly perfect for me.

I would have to get the 128 and that would be an overkill for me.

Space Grey is my favorite color so I do hope Apple keeps that color.

I also hope the size remains the same from the 6s to the 7, so my dozen or so cases don't need to be thrown away.

Historically, the price of unsubsidized iPhone has not changed since 2008. Even with larger memory sizes, and other features Apple has kept the price the same. I think there was a small increase with the larger 6 models.

So I expect the retail price of the 7 to be the same as the 6.

    Is that others memory too?

Charlyee I hear on the case issue. I think it's the same size, so that's good for us.

Vf, so you think the 128 Gb iPhone 7 will be the same price as the 64 Gb iPhone 6?

Didn't they do away with the 32gb model in the last couple of years? If so, did the 64 gb come in at the price point previously occupied by 32 or did it stay in the 64 tier?

Good point, iirc the 64 came in at 32 price point and the 128 was introduced at the previous 64 price and the 16 remained the same.

Yes, that is definitely true. The 64 took the place of the 32, at the 32 price point.

So I expect the same will happen this time.

Don't get your hopes up. They are bound to out do the price of the Samsung Note 7

This is embarrassing. Am I the only Android lover on this forum? With all of you expecting the iPhone 7, I never once heard anyone else indicate they were getting a Samsung Note 7.

I'm expecting the iPhone 7 because I'm married :) And while I do love Android, my love for it does not extend to TouchWiz in any way, shape or form except the "I love to hate the TW" ;) So while the next year's Nexus, Pixel or whatever else Google's phone will be called is certainly on my radar I can't say that any of the Notes are.

Kevin James, I am also a non-Apple fanboy. I will admit to being a cheap a$$. My objections to Apple is a proprietary OS and price, mainly price. I admit that I am far from a power user. I buy second (or third) tier phones and keep the price under $300. I buy used phones or new phones surpassed by newer moidels

New iPhone 7 prices out. Same as iPhone 6 but with twice the memory.

Starts at $649 for iPhone 7 32Gb. Other models 128 and 256 Gb

KJ, I am somewhat OS Agnostic, I have had Symbian, Android, Windows iOS, Android, iOS.

The main reason I like iOS is because of the closed OS, not much "playing" can be done easily like in Android, thus ensuring my phone stays in working condition. I do sometimes miss the thrill of bringing my Android back from near death. Lol

In all fairness, for me iOS just works.

Having said that I must confess that I do not like Samsung phones, my favorite term of "endearment" for them is Sucky Samy, sorry.

Possible but I have to see what it looks like, matt anything is not my favorite.

I plan to walk into AT&T on launch day, so at a minimum I can see the colors.

I think the iPhone 7 Plus, 128 Gb was the most popular unit. Especially Jet black. I got silver and regular black. Ordered 31 and 39 minutes from the midnight start, and delivery dates are September 23 and October 4th, instead of the earliest date of September 16th. My Plus is unlocked.

It seems people are moving towards the 5.5" size. Especially now that the Plus is getting more features. I'll give the size a month. I paid off my 6S so I own that one.

My first pre ordering experience was a nightmare and now I know what a ping pong balls feels like. :D

I tried between 1:55 - 2:30 am and couldn't get in. Eventually at around 10:15 Friday morning I was able to pay my qualifying installment off and proceeded to order it from AT&T.

AT&T site told me (repeatedly) that I didn't qualify for the NEXT upgrade and the only way to pre order it is paying full price. So I got on the phone and while on hold decided to check the Apple site to see what colors were still available for 9/16. Seeing that the black was available I decided to go through the motions of getting one on NEXT and after Apple checked my eligibility, I was approved.

I have no idea why AT&T can't read their NEXT data and but Apple can. Actually I do know but don't want the post to get censored. :D

    I am keeping my 6s.

@charlyee. Yep. Look at my posts a year ago. Same thing happened to me. After 3 hours on the phone with ATT, that manager told me to do it through Apple, as ATT' s IT department was totally incompetent. I did, and it went smoothly. Apple knew I was eligible, but ATT did not.

Saying that, this year went smoothly with ATT.
