iPhone 6 & 6 Plus waiting room:

    I'm currently or should I say patiently waiting for the Silver 128GB iPhone 6 Plus that I ordered from Verizon on 10/11, with a ship by date of 10/31 on my order confirmation page.

    I thought it might be interesting to start a thread so others can post which 6 model and carrier they are waiting on and how their order is progressing along through the shipping stage. I think the iPhone 6 is still shipping out faster than the Plus. Usually Apple takes care of its orders first then ships the Phones to the individual carriers from what I understand which is why the wait time is longer when ordering from the wireless carriers VS the Apple Store.

    Who wants to join me in the iPhone 6 waiting room? :D

    Sure, I will join :D

    I ordered a silver 6 64 gb from the local corporate store on 9/23. I got the email confirmation with shipping dates 10/13 - 10/22 within 15 mins and another email verifying those shipping dates on 9/29.

    There has been no change from "preparing for shipment" and the 877# lady saying "items are on back order" in three weeks. Hoping that Death Star will honor the quoted shipping window.

    For what it's worth to you guys, Apple only informed me that my 6 shipped the day before it arrived. ATT notified me 2 days before. Before that I heard nothing for a week. Even though it was in transit for days.

    I wonder how the opening in China and India, and 34 more countries affects all of this. They plan ahead but the response is very good.

    So am I and now Eileen the only ones on WA that have the new iPhone (6 or 6+)?

    Who else has ordered?

    Have patience. It's worth it.

    Even though my Verizon 6 Plus is listed to be shipped on 10/31, I don't think I'll actually get mine till some time in November either. There are many people who ordered on launch day that are just now starting to receive their 6 Plus.

    Hopefully you'll see something soon. I've seen a lot of people over at MR reporting more ship outs this week with AT&T and Verizon orders.

    Death Star is crazy, this morning they said it will take 14-21 days from the time they ship until I get it, so I should have it by the second week in November.

    14-21 days coming from TX?

    That's strange, my step-daughter's was shipped with second day delivery. Since I wasn't monitoring the order status I don't know if it ever went through "Preparing shipment" phase, I think it stayed in "Preorder processing" for most of the time.

    I think that's what the shipping times have been 2-5 business days. I am pretty sure that 14-21 business days is what the lead time is before it gets shipped.

    Incompetent nice people are my least favorite, give me some competent nasty people instead.

    They gave you a delivery time frame, no?

    I know what I would do in this case. Order from Apple in line. Sounds like you are in a low priority hole

    vf, I am in my shipping window and cannot cancel the order to reset my eligibility. I very much doubt the 14-21 days for it to come from TX to WI, I will know better if I ever get a shipping notice.

    I don't believe I am in a "low priority hole", it is AT&T incompetence and lack of logic in shipping out the orders that have people screaming in three other boards that I visit.

    Sounds like they are just buying time with those dates. It doesn't take that long to arrive to you from TX once it has shipped.

    Just checked my status and it is still processing. I guess that's ok as I read that some Verizon customers had their orders canceled after they already waited for awhile.

    Did you order order yours through Apple? If so, their wait time for the 6 is only 7-10 days.

    Hey Charlyee,

    Did you do the NEXT program? I heard that customers who did this through Apple and later tried to cancel the order due to finding it in the store are having a lot of problems getting their upgrade eligibility reset. When I returned the 64GB SpaceGray 6 that I purchased via Next at AT&T on launch day my upgrade eligibility was reset before I even walked out of the store. I think anyone doing NEXT is better off going through AT&T instead of Apple.

    Yes I did the NEXT and agree with you that it's better to go through AT&T if doing NEXT.

    I ordered using Next via ATT as it was not possible to do so on preorder

    I ordered a 2nd one, for my kid, via Apple. Bother took one week.

    Texas? I followed my shipment from China!

    Sure that 11 days is not from China?

    Yes I am sure. The post launch devices are coming from the warehouses.

    I asked where it was coming from after hearing the 14-21 and was told TX and that's typically where people are getting theirs shipped from.

    The ones ordered through Apple are still coming from China, afaik and that adds some shipping time as well.

    Having said that, it's AT&T so who knows what they will actually do.

    I was up at 3AM on pre order day and was able to place a AT&T NEXT order using the Apple App Store App, however, it only allowed me to order with the 24 month option not 12 months so I ended up canceling the Next order via Apple and going to AT&T on launch day instead.

    Well I'll stay out of all these decisions.

    I'm just sitting here reading all these posts on my iPhone 6, housed in my Apple leather case and feeling quite pleased and happy.

    Actually I was going to wait a few months to buy, but my daughter wanted the upgrade and I thought, 'why not'.
    Glad that I did.

    Good luck and hope they arrive soon. However Eileen seems to me that you're ordering too many
