Please note the LTE frequency bands are different based on what carrier you buy your iPhone 5 from. Apple details LTE plans for iPhone 5: true global reach requires multiple models -- Engadget
It is interesting that the CDMA device has 5 LTE bands and the GSM phone is made into two, one for Europe with three bands and one for the US and Canada with two bands. I believe the European devices have to be unlocked, at least in Germany and France, while Apple can restrict access to the iphone in the US and Canada. Apple is not making the iphone 5 a world phone. If they can put 5 bands on the CDMA phone why didn't they put 5 bands on the GSM phone?
