Just updated my iPhone 6 minutes ago and currently downloading it on my iPad Air. At first glance: The "Camera Roll" is back!!!! Woo hoo!! Safari is is lightning fast via Safari web browsing now. I hope this continues. Apple Pay is now live for the iPhone 6/6+. Set up for this service is in the settings menu. I plan on holding off on this one till I see what security issues there are if any. Will post more things as I find them.
The reappearance of the camera roll and being able to SMS/MMS from my ipad are my top two favorites. Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk
Bummer! for some reason I never had a problem and still don't. My turbo gocart must be more forgiving. Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk
Yes, hers is a strange BT unit to begin with, but at least it was working properly before. Sent from my GT-I9505G using Tapatalk
My car BT is perfect. Sorry to hear, dmapr. A shot in the dark is resetting all settings. I found loading CC into Apple Pay extremely easy. Point your camera at your CC and it finds all the numbers directly. I will buy something at Panera today to try it out
Not gonna mess with it. The only thing that doesn't work is she can't hear anything when dialing, but when the connection is established, all is good. Yes, just as easy as Google Wallet The only number I had to enter manually was the CVC, which I imagine I'll have to do as long as the phone doesn't have the X-Ray in place of the camera
Not going to mess with it? Every software guy I know messes with stuff, breaking things. Did my first Apple Pay at Panera. Smooth. But how does one do a refund? Haha Btw. Didn't have to unlock the phone first either. Machine lit up, placed my finger on my phone and bingo done. Nice feature on the iPhone 6
Every software guy messes with *his* stuff all the time. Messing with *wife's* stuff usually leads to more trouble than it's worth Besides, pairing with that BT unit is a nightmare cause I can never remember where the passcode is written. Speaking of which, does iTunes backup save BT pairings?
When I went to the 5s from the 5 and restored from the iTunes backup, I had to redo the BT pairing on the new phone. I have no idea what it is supposed to do. Sent from my iPhone 5s using Tapatalk
Yes, it does. However, according to this list it looks like the back up is only good if you are going to restore using the same device, and not one that you upgrade to. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4946
Thanks for the info. So it looks like when the 6+ finally arrives I'll have to go find the pairing code again…
Iphone 6 and new Go-Kart BT pairing successful and functioning as intended. Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk The pairing code on the Minis are a section of the VIN, perhaps the same in your wife's car?
My current car shared the BT pin with my phone and I only had to 'ok' it. There was no need to know the pin before hand. I found that with other devices too.
Absolutely not. Her car is a 2008 model which is a year before Mercedez-Benz has realized that people are not going to be paying big bucks for a Mercedez-Benz version of Motorola V635 anymore. Furthermore, some genius has undoubtedly figured out that an iPhone can not be plugged simultaneously into the music device input port and the phone harness port. So out came this monstrosity of a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the phone harness and is sold as a separate accessory. It's main feature is a death grip on the phone as it doesn't seem to care that the engine is turned off. If it sees the paired up phone in the vicinity, it captures it and good luck calling it
Has anyone been able to get Airdrop to work between a Mac and iPhone? iOS 8.1 and Yosemite? I haven't.
I checked out send/receive between iPhone and MBP: iPad and MBP and it worked. iPhone worked with the first try but it took a few tries for the iPad to receive from the Mac. It kept timing out. Sending to the Mac worked fine from the start from both devices. iOS 8.1 and Yosemite. Sent from my 6/128/SG using Tapatalk
According to an iOS/Mac OS expert at work it "should just work". He said to make sure on iOS the Airdrop access is set to Everyone and not just Contacts, whatever that means. I've only used Airdrop between two MBPs. One of them was Yosemite and mine is Mavericks, and on the Yosemite one we had to click the "Don't see your device here?" link -- but I don't believe that is necessary for iOS 8.1
When I did the Air Drop between my MBP on Yosemite and hubby's iMac on Mavericks, I had to do the same and then look for an older device. Yes between iOS and Mac it did just work. Sent from my 6/128/SG using Tapatalk
Found a couple of quirks: 1. Reminder app crashes when adding a task from time to time. 1. The shutter sound does not always happen the first time but does from the second on. 3. I believe the lock screen sound is the same way but I have it turned off, so don't know for sure. These happen in both the iPhone and the iPad, so it's the software and hopefully a future update will take care of these. Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk
I find more crashes than usual. But I think its non updated apps mostly. It's Yosemite I'm most unhappy about. Wifi connections are slow and erratic on all my macs. Sorry I upgraded.
Interesting. Nobody at work who upgraded has complained about Wi-Fi. Anyway, with Charlyee's tip on hiding the nagging I'm now unlikely to ever upgrade
^ I had one WiFi related issue with my iPhone 6. However, that turned out to be a FIOS router issue and probably nothing to do with iOS. Shortly after getting my Verizon iPhone 6 I upgraded my FIOS router to one that's compatible with WEP 2 and since then have not had any problems. Sent from my LTE 128GB iPad Air 2 using Tapatalk
Not gonna mess with it. The only thing that doesn't work is she can't hear anything when dialing, but when the connection is established, all is good.
