Successful update to iOS 11. Also Apple Watch updates. Easy and smooth as always. Surprised update rate is a bit behind other years. I expect that will change when iPhone X comes out. Will check out the iPhone 8 series for my spouse this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My wife is complaining about iOS11. She really doesn't like the looks of the new calculator and how much bigger the iMessage's fonts are on the messages list screen compared to the actual messages (she sets her text size to be bigger than normal). Oh, and how slow it makes her 6+ feel
Dmapr, sounds to me that you are now locked into getting a new iPhone for her...and maybe the 8 plus for the fastest processor! I don’t mind the bigger font on iMessage. But then I have a few years, or maybe decades of vision degradation on her! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Successfully updated the 7 Plus and Air 2. Decided not to do the 6s for now. I like the changes to the Notifications and the Control Center. I totally dislike how the landscape mode now has none of the useful non alpha characters and instead has empty grey space. I hope Apple changes this in one of the updates. Sent from my iPhone 7 Plus
Although too soon to tell since I am still playing with it but it appears the battery life may have degraded. Sent from my iPhone 7 Plus
I still have to sell it to her But as https://www.theverge.com/2017/9/22/16349518/iphone-8-short-launch-day-lines indicates picking one up on a moment's notice shouldn't be a problem And yes, 8 was never an option, can't go from the Plus down in size
My battery life has been the same. Some new features highlights. Liking iOS 11. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fo...pple-ios-11-has-25-great-secret-features/amp/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have noticed faster battery drain on all my iOS devices than it was on iOS 10. Not horrible, but not great either. Just after the update, I noticed the brightness level of all my iOS devices was quite dim. You would think they would keep the auto brightness on/off toggle in the Display & Brightness section of Settings, but no, they moved it to Settings>General>Accessibility>Display Accommodations. If it wasn't for Settings search, I might not have found it for a while. Outside of this, I love the changes, especially being able to pin Notes. I also like the new Control Center. It is busy, but that's fine with me. iOS 11 isn't perfect, but I like it nonetheless.
The battery has improved some after all the app updates followed by 11.0.1. It is still not as good as before the update but much improved from what it was just after the update. Hope 11.1 will make it better, it’s a common complaint so I am sure Apple is aware of it. Sent from my iPhone 7 Plus
Hey Charlyee. Can you give some numbers on the change? I don’t look that closely unless I can’t make it through the day. Thanks for the 11.0.1 update. Didn’t catch that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Hi Vf, I didn’t save any screenshots but here is my reasoning: Before the update, I could skip a day and have around 25-30% left at the end of the second day. After iOS 11, I would have 30-40% left at the end of the first day. After iOS 11.0.1 yesterday, I have 55% left at the end of the day. Hope that helps. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I have noticed this too. My way of telling the improvement is that, when my devices are fully charged and idle, they stay at 100% much longer than after the iOS 11 update, similar to what I experienced on iOS 10 (all versions). My devices also don't precipitously drop battery percentage as fast with 11.0.1. The drop with 11 was ridiculous.
Today I've finally upgraded my iPhone 7 to iOS 11.3 from iOS 10. But unfortunately now multiple app have started crashing on the startup. Can anyone please help?
Just wanted to make an update so if anyone been encountering same issue can resolve it by themselves. I uninstalled all malfunctioning apps, soft-reset my iPhone and reinstalled latest version of them and they have been running smooth once again
