I am able to get good reception in one side of my house and not the other. Good reception on the deck. Is there some sort of arial solution to this problem? Or is their a solution? This is a cell phone problem.

One solution you could look at is the the personal cell tower devices that many carriers sell. They hook up to your high speed internet (if you have it) and cover your house with a signal. If you let us know who your carrier is we can provide some more detailed options for you.

Do you happen to have AT&T? Their coverage looks very spotty in Pinehurst. I think perhaps switching carriers is going to be a cheaper option than buying additional things (you would probably need additional routers to increase the signal outside, and any type of aerial solution is going to be costly). T-Mobile's coverage maps seem to show good coverage in the Pinehurst area. Even if you have to pay a termination fee, it might be worth it -- i.e. less costly and would give you better coverage... Or do you live far outside of Pinehurst? Point is, do some research on coverage for different carriers if you haven't already.

An In home wireless amplifier system would be the answer. Shop around . Lots of Choices. Most Important . Buy from a reputable dealer that has a return policy in case the product does not meet your needs or expectations.

How do you determine the coverage area so precisely? The reception in my home office has deteriorated drastically the last year. I am ready to change, but don't know if I'm just going to have the same problem with a different carrier. I'm with AT&T now as well.

If your coverage has deteriorated dramatically, than you should contact your provider. It may be a problem with your phone. There may also be a problem with the network in your area. No guarantees but it is worth a phone call or three.
