I just changed my IMSI (MIN) number to one that my bro has on his card and it now has doubled my download speed and back up to where I was a year ago...about 700k (EVDO). In turn, he tried my IMSI number and he was getting the download speeds I was at 100-200k.

After speaking with Advanced Tech Support at Alltel, they assured me that my IMSI number should not affect my download speeds. But while I had them on the phone, I used both IMSI numbers and went to Speakeasy - Speakeasy, Inc. - Broadband, Voice and Data Services and ran 4-5 tests each to prove to them my results. In the end, they told me that the IMSI number is uniquely assigned to each data card and that it should have no affect on dl speeds and had no answer for the dl speed difference.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Stuck? Mr.O..this is becoming ridiculous. Im paying $60/mo for little more than dialup speeds. Really...i want an answer from Alltel, but they seem clueless!
