An entire press release for one site ? Not much news apparently- reminds me of the news here in So. Cal. sometimes when the top story is something like 'Brittany Spears gets into a traffic accident' .
Yeah I was thinking the same thing Gman. Do any other carrier's release a press story like that for only one site?
Well think of it this way one more for you to roam off of lol. If needed of coarse I know there are some synergy sites there most likely
I think it's good when the carrier's tout their improvements. In fact Sprint has added more new cell sites here in CA than anywhere else but yet there's never been one single detailed press release about it that I know of other than a few billboards out in the Inland Empire.
Well maybe that is not what is important to sprint as far as news. But one thing I have noticed it is not panels added to sites it is new sites that are talked about.
There are 2 billboards off of the 10 Freeway that I know and one on the 605. One of them claiming that they have the best network in the inland empire even though this is the San Gabriel Valley (LA County)
They actually just put up a huge billboard at LAX on Century that reads something like: Our signal is so big in LA we needed two billboards. It shows a signal tower radiating signal over LA in the Sprint Speed theme and colors. I'll have to go back and get a picture of that one soon.
They have another one about Coverage is better than a tan or something like that. Sprint needs to find a new marketing company. but on a side note I am going to Sign up for SERO this week
Did you see the one about "Papparazi style coverage" or something lame like that? Good luck with SERO.
All 4 (Sprint/VZ/AT&T/T-Mobile)could stand to put another tower near Camp Richardson/Emerald Bay. Coverage out near Fallen Leaf is awful or non-existent.
I remember that. I was out there 2 1/2 years ago. VZW must have had some panel strategically placed on the CA/NV border in South Lake Tahoe, because walking from one side of the street to the other my phone would switch between 1X (Nevada side) and IS-95 (CA side). And then going further west (or SW toward Fallen Leaf Lake) the coverage got worse. On a side note, I highly recommend those paddle boat tours that go from the east side of the lake across to Emerald Bay.
Yep - that's because 2.5 years ago, Verizon did not have a native network in El Dorado county (California side). It was all roaming on Mountain Cellular, a tiny local provider with minimal coverage. They bought out Mountain Cellular and have since converted to 1X and now EVDO. The Nevada side (Douglas county) has been Verizon since Verizon was formed from GTE/Contel/Airtouch years ago, hence the 1X.
