I was wondering if I can put an ic902 on a nextel plan. I have one of nextel's older family share plans.

You can ask, but I believe the answer will be "no". Since this phone utilizes Nextel ONLY for Direct Connect, this phone is really a Sprint phone with Nextel DC on it, which means you will be on a Sprint "Powersource" plan, which won't be compatible with a Nextel plan.

Powersource phones and plans are their own unique animal with Sprint. Which is why they only released 3 phones with this feature, and have since moved on to QChat PTT interoperability.

I think you need to switch to one of the current plan offerings to mix CDMA and iDEN (or hybrid) devices on one plan.

I am on the Talk/Message/Data share plan, sharing my minutes with three Sprint phones and 1 Nextel phone.
