I tried to get a g1 from the tmobile store but they wouldnt sell me one with the plan that i wanted. I mainly want it for the data so i wanted to get the unlimited $35 data plan with the $29 300 voice minutes instead of the $39.99 plan. They said i had to be on the $39 voice plan or higher. Is that generally the policy? $10 dollars isnt a big deal and def not a dealbreaker but am curious.
I was able to build the plan you want on the t-Mobile website. $29 voice, $35 data, and $179 for the phone.
just activate how the dealer wants you to and then call in and change your plan or go to another dealer
the dealer might be either misinformed or is trying to get more money out of you by selling you the higher calling plan. either order it online or buy from that dealer with the higher calling plan and then switch it the following day.
Finally got the g1. This time they didnt give me any problems so i got the plan i wanted. The network has been really good on the phone so far so no complaints. The g1 has worked everywhere my buddies iphone has worked. He's actually jealous now since i am spending less than him and i dont have to worry about getting "all cingular circuits are busy" like he does.
