I'm very new to cell phones so any welp is greatly appreciated. Someone has decided to sell me this phone for 50 bucks so I can give my mother a present. (just for being a great mom) My mother's phone is beginning to fall apart and I'm hoping to brighten her day with this phone but it will all be in ernest if I can't unlock the phone.

The person selling teh phone to me says that he has tried to unlock twice and it didn't work so I will only have 3 shots at this.

Anyway, waiting for a response. [IMG]

Don't bother buying the phone. The 3650 will only work on GSM 1900 networks in the US (AT&T, Cingular, & T-Mobile. If your mom has Sprint the 3650 will not work as Sprint's network is CDMA, not GSM. I would check Sprint's web site (www.sprintpcs.com) and look at the current phones. Then go to eBay and find one you can afford. [IMG]

i agree. do not buy that phone. if you do, you will be able to use it only as a paper weight, since the 2 companies are not compatible AT ALL.

I've heard that unlocked 3650's that can't be used make great door stops or paper weights. [IMG]
