hey every one im new here i finally got a new verizon phone but cant figure out how to switch it with my old one? any suggestions on switching phones over its a vx3300 to a razr v3 thanks for any help.
Hi there basically all you have to do is change out the ESN (Electronic Serial No) on your account to that of the V3. There are two ways you can do this: 1. You can call up CS and they will do it for you, keep in mind there is a charge for doing it this way. I believe it is $15. 2. The other way to do it is through My Account on VZW. If are not signed on already, you can sign up for free. Once you are in there look for where it says My Phone and then click on activate a new phone and follow the instructions from there. Charlyee pretty much summed it up. If you are signed up for MyAccount, I would go through there first. Log on and go to the Phone Menu, then Change phones and "Activate Existing Equipment". Most likely you will not be able to swtich from a 1x to an EVDO phone so after trying to change the ESN online, it will tell you to call CS. All you need to do is Call CS, tell them you were trying to change equipment but it did not work online, they'll switch it for you and not charge you a single penny. The call should take you less than 3 minutes. Andy
