I need professional advise on using wireless equipment in the 5.825 to 5.875 GHz

    Dear All,
    I am new to this forum & I seek professional opinion about legal compliances in using wireless equipment in the 5.825 to 5.875 GHz. frequency band. Do i have to take any approval/clearence of any Govt. or other institute in India. Pl. send me urgent advise/opinion in the matter.

    Hello Dg and welcome to WirelessAdvisor. Most, if not all, of us here are not professionally involved in bandwidth allocation. Especially would our knowledge of practices in India be lacking. Here in USA, that is controlled by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). Depending on the range you intend to use any radio frequency, it may be just a local license that you need. (When I bought my walkie talkies, it was required that i register them with the FCC.) Again, though, because you are in India, you'll need to check with your local authorities. Perhaps search on the web for bandwidth allocation in India.
