Well...I ordered my new moto v400 but 2 days ago. I was scared too because I knew this would happen.

It is now offered for 59.99....not the 99.99 I paid for it :(

Those dirty rats. In another 2 days it will probably be free.

I called and they will not honor the price, even though I haven't got the phone yet :(

    Shizam,

Can you call to return it when you do finally receive it? Then, you can reorder it, or when they ask why, tell them the price dropped and they may match it. Or maybe your creidt card offers price protection?

Just some thoughts. And even if that all doesn't work out, at least you got the phone you wanted at the time you wanted, so enjoy it.

I know how you feel. That situation never fails to happen with me. It can be phones or anything. I will by it and within a few days, it goes on sale or drops in price. It is very frustrating.

At least Best Buy or Target or something will honor the price difference and refund you

Just call them up and say that because the phone is cheaper now you want a $40 credit. If they refuse just tell them you plan to return it and order it again. Chances are, rather than hassle with a return and sale, they'll just credit your card or account $40.

    I'll try again tomorrow (Monday)

Who would be better to speak to? The 866-689-1876 "retentions" department number where I ordered it from? Or a different department?

I would think you should call the same number you ordered from. And if you don't get the answer you like as for a supervisor. IN the end it is in Cingular's best interest to credit you $40 rather than have you return a phone.
