I just got my a920, but my computer does not recognize it. How can I get software for my PC to recognize it?

Doesn't this phone come with a USB cable? If so, why in the world would it not come with any software?

I would think the computer should treat the phone as a mass storage device (no software needed) like most new Sprint phones with expandable memory.

The USB cable that came with your new Samsung MM-A920 will only work to use your "Phone As Modem". In other words, you can hook the phone to a laptop and use it as a high speed broadband modem. You can download the software to do this from the Sprint web site.

You can find the links, more info, and more things you can do with your A920 in the Samsung MM-A920 new user help guide on my web site here:
    http://smorgasbord.net/samsung_a920_help_guide

Like the previous post said, you can only transfer music, and games, anb pictures to your A920 cell phone by taking out the transflash memory card and putting it into a card reader attached to your PC.

The key type readers are great, because they are portable. You can stick them in your pocket and take them anywhere, including work. I have some like this linked on my web site (linked above).
