Well, after a couple weeks being scared to use my data because I was on a "limited" data plan, I called 611 today and asked what was available. They were able to put me on an unlimited data plan for $0.50 more than I was paying for the 2GB plan. Now I can try all the cool stuff I see out there without fear of me going over on my data. Yay! :)

So how did you get that? I don't think any such plan exists with ATT.

Well, I have 3 lines. 2 are out of contract, my line was upgraded a few weeks ago when I bought the HTC Inspire. I called 611 and told them that the past couple weeks have been hell, and I've been scared to use the data, because I have had unlimited data for 8 or 9 years now, and I was disappointed that my old unlimited data plan could not transfer to my new phone. I made mention that I was considering taking the phone back to the store before the 30 days was up, so I could possibly port to another carrier w/o an ETF. I told them that I figured I'd call, and see what they could offer me before I decided to take the phone back and start shopping. I could not get unlimited data for $19.99 like I used to have, but they were able to sign me up for a plan that will be roughly the same price as the 2gb plan after my service discount is applied.

    Good gamesmanship!

Were you able to keep tethering? The unlimited plan didn't allow that.

Teathering never worked on the Pure, I haven't tried teathering on the Inspire.
