neodigital: i just paid $149.99 and sending in that $100 rebate, so I'm not too worried about the money.
And that's why people generally *share* information. Anyway, I'm currently running "Wacker! V1.0a" against my Verizon phone, hitting all of the possible commands from AAA to ZZZZZZ. This takes a *really* long time, so I'll report on what I find. Looks like there are some 'special extensions' to the basic AT command set that will allow uploading and downloading of information.
http://webpages.charter.net/hideo_a310/downs/utilities/whacker.zip But remember *long* time to run. 2 Hours and I'm just up to AJGC. Plug the phone in, eh?
Here is what I have so far, remember that I started with AAA. at OK at OK at+CDS OK at+CDS? +CDS: 0,1,2048,6 OK at+CFC=? +CFC: (0-0) OK at+CFG OK at+CFG? +CFG: "" OK at+CHV OK at+CQD? +CQD: 10 OK at+CRC? +CRC: 0 OK at+CRM? +CRM: 0 OK at+CRM=? +CRM: (0-2) OK at+CSQ? +CSQ: 17, 99 OK at+CSQ=? +CSQ: OK at+CSS? +CSS: ?, 26 OK at+CTA? +CTA: 0 OK at+CTA=? +CTA: (0-255) OK at+CXT=? +CXT: (0-1) OK at+GMI=? +GMI: OK at+GMM +GMM: Motorola CDMA Vt720c Phone OK at+GMR +GMR: 1.2.22.19C OK at+GOI +GOI: OK at+ICF OK at+IFC OK at+IPR OK at+QNC? $QCQNC: 1 OK at+QNC=? $QCQNC: (0-1) OK
What do you think about splitting the CPU usage over a few reliable sources? That way it wouldn't take a few days... My cable isn't here yet or I'd volunteer
You can try playing around with the following while you wait: AT+MODE=2 AT+MBAN AT+CGMR AT+CGMM AT+CGSN AT+CSCS AT+CPBS AT+MPBR AT+MDBL=0
Go ahead and pick a range. There is more than enough to go around! I'm going to be running the A*** series for a while
Hello NeoDigital, how did you come up with those operators? Perhaps there are some useful clues if it came from a document. Someone else posted the Extended StarTAC AT Command Set Information & Utility information sheet, but I also found: A Startak link And a whole bunch of other links at 3:00 am local time. There is even a program, Cell Poll that has some interesting stuff. And that doesn't even get into the Linux tools I ran into at several places (Startalk). Motorola didn't reinvent the wheel. They took already existing bits of technology and wrapped it up in a new package. A lot of folks have been working very hard to play with the Motorola and non-Motorola phones, and we can build on their work. Gack, I'd better get down off the soap box! Later!
Odd... These commands give me "ERROR": AT+MBAN AT+CSCS AT+CPBS AT+MPBR again, running 19c.... Anyone confirm work/no work and with what setup? Thanks
I'm starting at MAAAA using Whacker... is anyone already doing that range? If so, I will start at a different point.
Another command output of interest, one of the defined AT commands: at&V Gives a bunch of setup information. at&V &C: 2; &D: 2; &F: 0; E: 1; L: 0; M: 0; Q: 0; V: 1; X: 4; Z: 0; S0: 0 S10: 14; S11: 95; S3: 13; S4: 10; S5: 8; S6: 2; S7: 50; S8: 2; S9: 6 +FCLASS: 0; +CFG: ""; +FCC: 0,1,0,0,0,0,0,0; +FIS: 0,1,0,0,0,0,0,0 +CDR: 0; +CDS: 0,1,2048,6; +CFC: 0; +CQD: 10; +CRC: 0; +CRM: 0; +CTA: 0 +CXT: 0; +DR: 0; +DS: 3,0,2048,6; +EB: 1,0,30; +EFCS: 1; +ER: 0 +ES: 3,0,2; +ESR: 1; +ETBM: 1,1,20; +FAA: 0; +FAP: 0,0,0; +FBO: 0 +FBU: 0; +FCQ: 1,0; +FCR: 0; +FCT: 1E; +FEA: 0; +FFC: 0,0,0,0; +FHS: 0 +FIE: 0; +FIP: 0; +FLI: ""; +FLO: 1; +FLP: 0; +FMS: 0; +FNR: 0,0,0,0 +FNS: ""; +FPA: ""; +FPI: ""; +FPP: 0; +FPR: 8; +FPS: 1; +FPW: "" +FRQ: 0,0; +FRY: 0; +FSA: ""; +FSP: 0; +ICF: 3,3; +IFC: 2,2; +ILRR: 0 +IPR: 19200; +MA: ; +MR: 0; +MS: ; +MV18R: 0; +MV18S: 0,0,0; +CMUX: C,2 +MODE: 0
Amazing. I've had this phone for a few hours and people are already cracking Ringtone/Data Transfers. Sweet. I think Im going to like this phone.
I hope one of you figures it out. I don't know how you do it, I've cracked some really expensive programs, but when I comes to a cell phone forget it I'm lost.
Hehe, same arya. Funny how it's so easy to crack adobe applications that sell for several 100$ but nearly impossible to get a little 5$ game on a cell phone
This Whacker program is kinda cool... could use some usability updates. I am thinking about writing a new version (since the original author isn't going to update it). Any suggestions?
mwah hahahaha, know what's even better? a $7,000 program. I cracked Maya unlimited for my boyfriend. I'm braging cause Im still so proud of myself hehe
Yeah... true, but you can't be blading along the Charles... or chilling in Harvard Square... or all of the Big Dig traffic (lol!). Perfect town to be in for college.
After a little under 2 and a half hours I am on at+b*** (I love the high baud rate of these phones!!!
Which cables did you buy to be able to do this? because i believe there is one from motorola and verizon, i havent really looked into it till now. and now i am really interested in it
Don't buy the Verizon cables... waste of money unless you are using their "high speed" data connection. Otherwise it just gives you access to the T720 drivers (so you can use it as a modem) and a crappy phone book manager. You can find the data kits for cheap at various sites or you can just go on eBay and find a cable and software for the V60 or other MOT phones that have a similar connector and then upgrade to TrueSync 3.1 (for sync with Outlook). For what we are doing you will just need the cable and driver. I VZW charges around $80, but you can find it cheaper. I got mine from WirelessGalaxy.com, but I did see it cheaper elsewhere after I received my order (don't remember where).
hehe, to add to my question, I found it on ebay, but if I get the ones off of ebay, how can I upgrade it to 3.1? is it a free upgrade?
