I apologize if this has been asked (razr v3m music)

im sure it has so im sorry im horrible at the search function..

i just bought the razr v3m. i got the music essentials kit as well to hook up to my computer hoping i can put all my thousands of mp3's ive had onto my phone,, but when i transfer it on there it says cannot play... what am i doing wrong?? is there some type of an online tutorial i can find that will help me do this? i dont want to have to pay for the damn vcast BS so if i can get music on it this way i would like that.. thanks guys and once again sorry if its been asked

 

thank you that helped out now i got it working one more quick question.. why cant i set one of my songs as my ringer now ?? dont tell me only ones i download do that...
