Well, I seem edited my phone and made the earpiece volume louder. I did a quick test and it seems like it worked. I will have to wait to test it tomorrow when I am in a louder environment.
Congrats on the successful seem edit. Did you boost just the earpiece or did you boost the ringtones and speakerphone as well? I was just thinking you'll have to make a new avatar with a V3 screen.... Here's a present for you... It is 2 ringtones I made myself. The first is one of my Western Electric 2500's ringing. The other is My Heemaf 1955 ringing. They certainly get looks when people hear it. You can upload it to your phone. Don't forget to delete the 2 .db files when you upload, then reboot the phone so you can apply it as a ringtone.
For now, I just raised the earpiece volume. Thanks Jay. I will have to wait to hear them when I get home since I am at school all day today (until 7 pm). I have to make avatars for Fire, Wiggy, and myself.
You can also fix the volume problem by accessing the gain table. I haven't done any major flexing or seem editing with my V525 so I can't go farther than recommending HoFo to you.
LOL, I never thought of it like that. That's what they say on the ads. He's in college so maybe more bars in more places isn't a bad thing.
Deleting the .db files or rebooting is not necessary when you use bluetooth, the Internet, or the MobilePhone Tools software to upload ringtones. So I wouldn't go through all that trouble if I can avoid it.
Except I don't drink alcohol. I only drink sodas when I go out with friends. Plus all of my friends (including myself) aren't old enough to drink yet.
Then all of you should come over to Germany and we'll have a binge party (j/k). I don't drink myself even though in Germany and most other European countries you're allowed to consume alcohol starting at 16. Then we could also all compare our phones (CDMAers are welcome too but in Europe, they would obviously be paperweights). Undoubtedly, some of you would come across GSM phones which you would like.
Wellm the fees could be reduced if everyone with Cingular added the Cingular World Basics for $3.99/month or the Basics plus Western Europe for $5.99/month.
Or buy prepaid sims. If you need help seem editing your V3 I can probably help. I've edited or flexed all the Moto's I have.
Lol obviously JFB would pilot it. I wonder who would do the co-pilot honors. I nominate all of our mods/Super Mods . I'm quite happy with my V525, it's a neat alternative for those days when I don't take my MDA II with me since I might have to work in an area where I know that the PPC may be exposed to moisture.
Not I. I finally realized I don't need 5,000 extra features, cause I don't ever use them. Give me a v400 in a smaller form factor and I'd be in heaven!
Still that's too expensive. Roaming should be no more expensive than regular long distance service, like in the $0.05/min to $0.49/min range. Or maybe just charge the overage rate per minute anywhere in the world (currently $0.45/min). That would be nice! By the way, that is WITHOUT any monthly fee! If they were to ask me for a monthly fee, I would expect a small bucket of included roaming minutes (meaning no per minute charge on them), like 100 roaming minutes for $5.99/month or 200 roaming minutes for $9.99/month and those minutes should apply to anywhere in the world. Roaming overages charged at the regular overage rate of $0.45/min. Seriously, with VoIP technology being so cheap, I don't see why wireless roaming charges are still up in the sky.
