    1) This forum is made up of mainly Wireless enthusiasts, not Wireless business-people.

    2) 90% of us are from the U.S. and do not enjoy hearing about jobs being outsourced to foreign countries.

2-a) Foreign based, outsourced CSR's can hardly speak english and make a customer service experience horrible.

2-b) Younger folks in this country are finding it ever harder to find entry level jobs in the tech sector due to outsourcing. Not to mention all the hardworking folks who have lost their jobs of 15,20,25+ years to outsourcing.

I apologize to anyone else except for this poster. This post strikes a bit of a nerve in me.

actually, the OP sounds a bit unbelievable as well. If he (she) is from a "big" company, why are they using a cheezy post to look for a call center. Most "big" companies I know have well established avenues for this type of research and don't use boards like this to find what they are looking for, especially call centers.

Yeah...It is ridiculous, if companies want to keep business with the american public they need to continue/start using american reps. Whenever I call a place that is outsourced it is like talking to a 4 year old. On top of that you cannot understand most of what they are saying.

It may indeed be a scam also like he said. Most "big" companies do not require WA to do this.

I hate talking to indian reps, can't speak english worth a crap, generally don't know what they are talking about. For example a dell rep saw my desktop icons in the taskbar (I'm using xp's builtin toolbar function for that) and assumed that they were running programs, this isn't a level 1 this is a actual higher tier technician and wanted to shut down my google desktop (not running he actually right clicked my google earth link and tried to close it but got kinda lost when the only options were rename delete and properties.) Personally I wont buy from a company that outsources it's tech support anymore.

Computer wise as far as I can tell dell is outsourced gateway is back in the states, horrible support but at least you can understand what they are telling you while they are giving you the run around.

I am with you on that. I don't like talking to someone that don't know english. It's like getting the form email when you ask for help online. When I have a problem I need fixed. I don't need more of a problem trying to talk to someone that don't understand.

Hi. I`m from Argentina and i work for Tracfone Wireless in his customer care department. Tracfone has outsourced the service `cos obviously, it`s cheaper. Tracfone pays us $1,70 (dollars) per hour, i know and you also know that the salary it`s a ___king misery, however it`s no so bad for a 18-25 year old in this country, remember folks, this is as you called it... the 3rd world.
The level of english is GOOD, but we need to recognize that there are some monkeys working among us that use words such as "ches" = yes, "tenkiu" = thank you, and so on... and don`t understand a word of what you`re saying.
I`d also like to remark that you guys sometimes discriminates `cos of the accent, that`s wrong, you don`t need to do that just `cos of the accent. In the 95% of the cases that you say..." i don`t understand you, put an american..." i don`t really think that you can`t get us, i think that yu say that because you can`t put up with the situation. What the heck?, a dammed "outsourced" is helping me.... jajajja.... you bastards.

Argentina is a wordefull country buddies, i think you should come around!!!!

    AGUANTE ARGENTINA!

That's nice to hear, the problem here isn't neccessarily accent or the fact that 9 times out of 10 the outsourced employee's don't understand the full context of the language and lack strongly in the vocabulary department, the problem is also the fact that this country is having a slight unemployment crisis and those of us that were replaced by people like you strongly resent it.

But lets just analyse your statement, shall we? This should be fun

This should be, very obviously, Hi, I'm from Argentina; That isn't your worst problem, however, since when is Tracfone considered a male person? It should be Tracfone Wirless in their customer care department. All this just in the first sentence, and it marks exactly why most Americans don't want to deal with outsourced support, left aside the fact that with the accent it becomes very hard to hear over crappy telephone systems nor does it address the fact that, as stated above, we just simply don't want to give our jobs away.

For the most part I'm glad that you have gainful employment, but in this case to rub it in the faces of the technicians who have lost their jobs because of outsourcing, well it's just wrong. You make roughly a 7th of the average income for low level tech support, I'm glad to see the rest go into the pockets of the company owners.

I forgot something. If you buy a cell phone read the manual before calling. 40% of people that buy a phone don`t know how to use it. I`m tired of hanging up on you guys. I released 10 calls per day because you are retards and ask things like "how do i turn it on?", " Do i need to the turn it on before making a call?"... " i made up a PIN number but it`s not taking it"... A sshole! Its a prepaid service you`re supossed to buy the pin (airtime cards).

Nothing personal against your society, but please, don`t be idiots...:loony:

The cheapest call center in Argentina is APEX. It`s TRACFONE WIRELESS customer care service. I`ve been working there for 2 years, i`m pretty tyred.
APEX pays us $1,50-$1,70 (dollars) per hour. It`s a missery. Besides, they handle us as if we were animals, they don`t even let us go to the bathroom, we take hundreds of calls per day without even a ___king breath among them, from time to time they randomly fire people `cos they juts want to do it. One of these days we`re going to go on strike. ___K OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

    STRIKE OR DEATH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate it when I call CS and get someone from overseas. They claim they know english when I bet they don't know more than what they're reading on their scripts. Grey Walker, your not helping yourself with your posts. You have very bad grammer and thats what I hate about outsourced people. Granted they have a script to read, but come on, at least read it right. Like strunke posted, this may seem like a scam. This is a forum, you would think this "BIG" business would use other means to look for a place for a call center. I hate it when people just join forums and mess it up like they did with this thread.

Agreed, the posts seem pretty phony. The thread is old and is not going anywhere.
