Anyone else getting "Lockdown in Sector 6" when trying to download attachments? I am getting this today. I have tons of email from co workers and family....with pictures, etc and I can't get to them. I have been sick all weekend and am getting around to catching up.

Gmail help forums are filled with people that have this problem, and they are saying Gmail is not responding to anyone about it. It said that It will take between one minute and 24
hours for you to regain access, depending on the behavior our system
detected. People in the help forums have said it is way beyond 24 hours for them and still nothing. It also said that we are locked out. However I am not locked out, just can't get attachments....any of them.

This will kill me to have to dump gmail and go back to....gulp...God forbid Yahoo clutter mail.

    All of them.
    I found a fix:

    1/ Clear your browser cache
2/ Change your Google Account password to a strong one
    3/ Restart your browser

    No more problems

Wumpusva...that didn't work. I read a ton of aricles on this. Apparently Google geniuses were targeting spammers and inadvertently locked tons of people out of their accounts. The other tons, like me, were unable to open attachments or forward email with attachments. The fix was google had to sort through everyone. You filled out the report form and waited. That's what I did....filled it out and waited. It took a few days, but all seems to be back to normal with me now :D

Me either, thank god. I had my population dynamic statistics homework emailed to myself in a word attachment. I would have been pissed if I couldn't get to it today.

Lucky you! I read about alot of college people who had projects and papers in email that had to be sent and received. Needless to say, they were panicked and well, not happy. Hopefully they got fixed too!
