    hi there
im in love with the HTC touch but im confused of which to get from which provider!
first off i will need the device for these reasons
1- i want wifi and it has to work on all GSM networks 850/900/1900MHz .
2- i need to use it abroad and switch Sim cards a lot
3- i want the UI to be the same as the one on the GSM unlocked version

so i saw the touch on Verizon (XV6900) and Sprint (HTC touch)
the sprint version has a modified UI and the "cube" menu doesnt have the same Media options as the International version
and the verizon version doesnt have WiFi!!! what to do ???
i need wifi but i also want the original UI

so if i buy the sprint version, can i install the original softwear after i leave USA ? i will only stay 2 years and i wnt this phone!!!! lol
or do i simply buy it from Abroad and use it with a Tmobile sim card or AT&T ?

sorry too much :loony: but i deeply apreciate the help

    thank you

Just a heads up, neither Sprint nor Verizon support GSM thereby requiring that you purchase an unlocked touch from overseas (1- i want wifi and it has to work on all GSM networks 850/900/1900MHz .)

Sprint/Verizon/Alltel use CDMA whereas the two main GSM carriers here in the states are T-Mobile and AT&T, I don't believe either of those carriers currently over the touch. Go to HTC.com and you should be able to find a version of the touch (there are 4 last I checked) that maybe even better than what you've seen so far.

    Good Luck

I don't think the Sprint version has wi-fi either.
