Cool device, but I would like to get a 6620, mpx220, i550 for my next PDA/Smartphone. From the initial reports the 6315 is slow (older processor) and the screen is very hard to see indoors too. :(

I have been hearing 4Q to 1Q 2005. I have also heard the i550 might be EV-DO capable too. :)

I've never actually owned a PDA, so take my mini review with a grain of salt :D

I got a chance to use the 6315 for about 10-15 minutes this weekend. I was indoors in a residential house, and the screen seemed fine to me (It was during the day). I got to use the WiFi internet connection - that was way fast and way cool.

    That's me mini-review :D ;)

Well the review(s) I read were over at HoFo. So you could easly take what I said with a pile of salt. ;)

I can't wait to see & try it out my self. I liked my PPCPE, but I could never find a nice slim & light weight case for it. So it was like carring a brick around. Do you know if T-Mo disabled the 850 on the device like they did with the V600?

I don't necessarily discount the HoFo reviews, but it seemed fine to me. I don't have access to the 6315 anymore, but I can try and find out about the 850. The device seemed slim to me, and it had a nice TM leather case.

I notice on T-Mobile's site it says the 6315 is tri-mode, so it looks like it's locked. :( But I bet someone will hack it to make it quad-band. I did see a dumby of it today, and you are right it's very slim. I hope I can get to try one soon. I also like the detachable thumbboard too.
