Guys, I've been reading this forum for hours and hours and I can't find the solution. i've been downloading various sofware, patchs and drivers without success.
I just got the V3M Red from Sprint.

I always had Nokia and it was never difficult to sync. I'm very disapoint by Motorola and all that stuff I gotta go thru to make it work.

I succeded to make my phone charging by the USB but it's weird the phone doesnt even appear in the device manager.

Is MPT the only way? is there a freeware? did ya all pay for MPT or it is possible to get it for free.

I'd like to sync my contacts from windows contact/outlook (im on windows vista) and itunes (btw is it possible to install itunes on the razr)?

if u could explain step by step how to make it work
    Thanks for ur help

Yes, MPT is the only way to sync with Outlook. If u can find it for free, good for you. My brother got a nice virus on his machine with one of the copies he downloaded, but then the second file he tried was fine. It is only $19.95 from www.bvrp.com. Anyways, that will be your only option.

You need to make sure your phone software is up to date. And then when you acquire MPT, that also needs to be up to date (version 4.36). Once done, you will have full ability to sync with Outlook, upload your own ringtones, pics, videos, etc.

As for iTunes, that is not possible. Thats what the v3i is from Cingular.

It is "normal" for your phone to NOT be seen as a mass storage device. Cell providers try to limiot how much u can use for free, so that u feel compelled to use THEIR services...but there are ways around it.

Yep. Thats pretty much all the memory card is good for. Ringtones and caller id pics must be in the phones memory. So the memory card is really only useful for FULL songs, and videos (files that would use up the limited phone memory too quickly)

Not possible to sync the sprint with WMP. Only verizon phones can do that.

I dont know what size the sprint v3m can take, but Verizon ONLY reads 1gb cards...sprint MIGHT be able to use a sgb card, but I dont know for sure.

Here is where I bought 5 from. They work just fine for me. http://www.cdrdvdrmedia.com/kingston-1gb-micro-sd-card.html
