how to add ringtones using data cable to 815?

    anyone know how i can move ringtones or mp3s to my e815 using my data cable? any help would be great thanks.

    I'm not sure, I just use my memory card. But I believe you can do that with the Motorola Phone Tools software......

    thanks for the reply I just found that out mysef now Im just looking for a place to download mpt a little cheaper than on the motorola site i believe it was abt $34 for just the software anybody else know of a safe cheaper place to download it? Any help would be appreciated thanks

    check out accessories2go.com be sure to click on the free downloads button....they have a mp3 locator and ringtones and audacity ringtone maker a mp3 converter...really cool stuff

    with an e815 you dont even need the data cable, you could bluetooth em over without having any special software, no hacking nothing. Once paired up its a right click away...If you must use the data cable then MPT is the simplest solution, and pays for itself with the ability to sync up your contacts with outlook

    Well yes, your computer does have to have bluetooth either built in like some laptops or a bluetooth receiver somewhere on it. They're not too expensive to buy either....
