I find that periodically my phone will "lose" my carrier (operator) and to fix it I have to power down and then power up my phone to regain my carrier. A re-start always fixes it. To me it's strange that I have to re-start my phone. Sometimes it will last weeks and then other times it will require a re-start more than once a week. Is my experience typical?
I rarely, rarely need to restart my iPhone in CT or MA. Sometimes the mail system gets hung with the servers, but that is rare too. Maybe once in 3-5 months for that perhaps. The carrier and browsers is fine though. Sent from my iPad Mini using Tapatalk
I just came back from a 2 week trip in SW India. My iPhone with the AT&T SIM had no problem switching to whatever was the best available and in the same as it took my Nokias with the local SIM's. I only turned it off during my 4 flights. I don't recall having to turn it off from home etc although I have only had it for 2 months. Here is a screenshot of the average number of providers available in most places. Sent From My Mobile Device Using Tapatalk
I need the US number as contact in an emergency. I did use a local 300 mb data SIM but with the prevalence of free wifi, I used around 50% of that. Sent From My Mobile Device Using Tapatalk
Makes sense, which is why I use EKIT in Europe. Overall cheaper than roaming (local calls end up costing about the same as $5.99/mo AT&T roaming plan, incoming are a whole lot cheaper on the US number). I don't think EKIT in India would be such a stellar deal though Sorry for taking the poll OT temporarily.
I've been experiencing random shutdowns on iOS. Happens about once every two weeks. Prior to 6.1, I could go months without restarting. It used to be very stable. Now, I'm in the middle of something and suddenly, boom! black screen and then the Apple logo shows up and it boots up again. I am on 6.1.3, but the problem began with 6.1 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Hey Bobolito! I assume you are talking about your iPhone 4 and not your iPad? Do you still jail break your iPhones? Maybe that? Or the older 4 is having problems? I haven't kept up with how the 4 does with the latest iOS in general, but certainly my wife's iPhone 4 is doing very well with the latest iOS on a daily basis. But her applications are very few and simple standard ones. She never turns it off. Never! Good to hear from you Vf Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
