For the record: Nokia 6256i (Verizon) and 6682 (T-Mobile/AT&T) are two of the best phones I've ever owned. Awesome signal, great quality and overall money well spent! :thumb:

Nokia's 6101/6102i/6103 series have also been excellent as well. HTC's MDA ranks up there too.

The worst have been the LG1400 (Cingular) and Samsung SCH-a790 (Verizon). They're the reasons I avoid Samsung and GSM LG's.

Far be it from me to go too long (in this case two months) without getting a new phone...

I wonder if the Betty Ford Clinic does rehab for cell phone addiction, because I "think" I've got a problem. :loony: :O

There is a cure for this type of addiction. Its called the HTC Tilt... ;)

I have felt free of the slightest desire for a new phone since I bought it last fall. I think its because I spend a lot of time customizing it. Its like constantly having a new phone.

I've added some goodies to the MDA, which is why I still use it. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Tilt, or most likely it's next iteration, as a phone in my collection. After all, I need to keep the phone makers in business...;)

Also, having multiple carriers makes it difficult not to purchase a new phone.

6, first two were regular phones.

Now: Samsung, Kajeet(sanyo), Alltel (kyocera) and another I just can't recall.

Had to revive this thread as I've added a few more phones to the collection, though not as rapidly as I've done in the past. I've used the LG Voyager longer than any phone since the Samsung SCH-411 (1999 to 2001). I guess I've curbed my phone addiction...(I think the recession helped some).

    Current list as of 1/16/2010:

    1. Nokia ??? (PacTelCellular/AirTouch) 1994-1997
    2. Nokia 2180 (AirTouch) 1997-1999
    3. Samsung SCH-411 (AirTouch) 1999-2001
    4. LG TM-510 (Verizon) 2001-2003

    7. LG VX-4400 (Verizon) 2003-2004
    8. Motorola T730 (Verizon) 2004

    Not for a phone-a-holic!!! :D

It's much harder now being a smartphone user. :(

I am going to be moving over to AT&T or T-Mobile in the next week or so. I like T-Mobile's smartphone selection, but AT&T's is so bad that I... I... I might actually get a iPhone.

And return it I did. It just wasn't worth it to keep the phone, especially with the mandatory data plan. Too easy to access the web and not sure I wanted to be stuck to Verizon for another two years (til January 2012).

Besides, I love the Voyager and recently got the latest software update (version 12), which changed a few things on the phone, kind of making it like new. I had the ancient software version 7 since I got it...
