Hey guys, I know we had a thread about this a long time ago, but I think it would be fun to revive our discussion about our calling habits. I will start, here's my usage from my last billing cycle: Peak: 174 Off Peak: 588 Weekend: 603 In Calling Peak: 1589 In Calling Off Peak: 1112 Total: 4066
Between 3 carriers and Vonage, it can vary. Some months I go bananas and hover near 2000, other months (like this one), I'll be lucky to hit 1000! Some days, I just don't want to talk on the phone...
Haha, believe it or not, but I am with you. I have days where I talk for hours, and other days where I don't like to talk whatsoever. I guess I text on those days.
On average, I use around 700-800 IN (both peak and off peak) minutes, 200 peak minutes, and 100-200 off peak minutes.
Me too!! And when I get talking I can go for hours (like 4 or 5 sometimes!!! ). It depends on the person and what's going on in the world (or life, for that matter). It's either feast or famine with me.

I'm not a big talker. I use between 150 - 225 minutes in a normal month. The only time I 'yak' on the phone is on weekends when I have unlimited minutes. Other than that I use the phone when I need to. If I really need to make a long call during the week I'll use my Skype service at home. For $15 I can call anywhere in the US or Canada for a full year.
all together add up to around 400 a month (thatn is when I use it for a whole month. If I take the year avg, then it goes down to about 100 amonth 9thanks for lengthy travels which adds some roaming revenue for Cingular. But have learned that having a local SIM in areas that I go to is much cheaper for the amount of use that I do when I travel and this is why I have close to 3300 R/O minutes.
December's usage for me was: Anytime: 70 M2M: 113 N&W: 99 Now my 1 daughter Anytime: 594 M2M: 441 N&W: 1183 Total all 4 lines Anytime: 733 M2M: 631 N&W: 1357
I honestly use on average less than 50 minutes a month. I NEVER go over a 100. But I use about 50 mb of data a month... ~*Ash*~
Mobile-to-mobile usually averages 700 a month, 200 anytime, 100 off peak, 60-70 texts. Got rid of the land line - only used it to order pizza anyway
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.1; U; en-us) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413 es70) I use somewhere between 1200 to 2500 minutes a month. all but 150 to 200 are anytime minutes and the rest are divided between mobile to mobile and nights and weekend minutes. I dumped my landline phone almost seven years ago.
I still have my landline as I need it for buiness too. The per minute cost for international call sure are a lot cheaper than using my cell phone. just think 3 cents vs $1 that adds up quickly and the it more than pays for my land line.
3 cents for international calls? To what countries? My VOIP charges me 3 cents to a lot of European countries...
Well to some. But some are at 19 cents. I mostly use teh 1010 services and when you make a 30 minute call at a time that can add up big time.
I use well over 4k minutes/month. I take conference calls from the road which adds up quickly. Figure on average of (1) 60 minute conference a day and that is 1800 minutes right there. I have no idea about my data, but considering I tether a few times/week and use email 24/7, plus browsing....I get my money's worth on the unlimited data plans.
Usage from last month: Peak: 446 (461 used total) Off Peak: 3290 (3295) M2M: 125 I've been noticing that my usage has been declining over the few months. In December, I used 5000 total minutes with most of my peak allotment gone. As of now, I've used: Peak: 448 (451 total) Off Peak: 1854 (1859) In Peak: 14 (17) In Off Peak: 41 (51)
Yeah I've looked into that too. My VOIP service costs me less than $10 a month and I get unlimited everything to U.S. ,Canada, PR, all features, 100 free minutes to Europe and then 3 cents so it's not worth it for me to switch to another carrier because I don't call Europe all that much.
My usage fluctuates from month to month... thank god for rollover... Last month I only used 1600 total This month it looks like I will use about 2400 mins.
I used to but I rarely used the web during the peak hours; it was primarily at night. Most of my peak data usage came from MMS use. Data was mostly used at night... when I had the web, my total off peak usage was 4000+ minutes. I have since canceled the web so I can control the bill. As of now, I've used: Peak: 513 (521 total) OffPeak: 2055 (2060) IN Peak: 24 (30) IN Off Peak: 47 (61) Looks like I'll deplete this month's allotment of peak minutes
3 days to go and here is hwere I am at so far: Any time: 84 M2M 220 N/W: 80 224 R/O set to expire on 3/4/07 So it seems that I am going to be at around the 400 avg.
My past usage that I just got my bill for Me: Anytime -112 N&W -115 M2M - 140 My Wife: Anytime - 7 N&W - 22 M2M - 47 My oldest daughter: Anytime - 234 N&W - 890 M2M - 83 My other daughter: Anytime -279 N&W - 1140 M2M - 2712 So you can see who is the biggest caller & combined we are over the 600 Anytime minute mark, forget N&W and M2M.
I use between 3000-5000 a month with my company test phone, which were also allowed to use for as much personnal use as we want. There are times I will call a movie hotline and drive around for hours checking for problems or drive testing. Far as data I have to be up there. With the EDGE Card and the CrackBerry who knows.
Average maybe 10 to 15 minutes. I know I'm so boring. On the home phone/Sunrocket phone... tons! :browani: why ? because it's free!
I use Sunrocket too for my home phone! Love it. Today is the 10th day of my cell phone billing cycle and here in my usage: Peak: 89 Off-Peak: 102 Weekend: 403 In-Calling Peak: 332 In-Calling Off-Peak: 219
