I would be willing to use an external battery charger coz I always find it dead when I need my phone the most. I have looked around lots of brands, Anker, RavPower, New trent and many others. Get a RavPower 10400mAh at the end since my friend has one and I found it great to use.

The phone has been off the charger since 4:30am yesterday. I plugged it into my PC to back up, but that was less than two minutes.
I have to say, so far I am very pleased with the battery life on the 5C.

    Great news!

Maybe its time to change your Profile phone from the Galaxy Stellar to iPhone 5C ;)

I'll also suggest that you turn on the iCloud backup...the 5 Gb are free, and it works really well for over the air back ups.

I have no need for iCloud back up. Pretty much everything I use is through Outlook.
iCloud I use for find my phone, and Safari. Until I get another Apple device, photo stream is off.
I just back up to iTunes onto my PC. If I have to restore this phone, I won't really lose anything.
As for my Avatar. Yes, I need to update that as well. ☺️ Thanks VF!

Question: What happens when one gets a new toy?

Answer: The battery on the iPhone 5 lasts a very long time. :D

Yep. And one primary reason why there are always complaints from a group of users about battery life being ruined with each new iOS release or even a new phone!

We all like to play with the new toys!

Slightly OT: The battery life on this is phenomenal. I used it continuously from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening on the charge it came with, around 80%.

I finally fully charged it yesterday evening and here is my usage so far. Not that I had any complaints about the battery life of my iPad 2 but this is going to be very helpful for traveling to areas with limited receptacles or charging stations. [IMG]

Samsung Note3. Both the OEM and Hyperion batteries (3200mAh) last me the better part of a day (From 7AM to 9PM). Surf, text, voice calls. No games.

First full charge cycle with new battery. So far so good.

The phone was turned off for the night, so around 30 hours on standby.

How many hours of usage did you get before you replaced the battery

I don't really know for sure since I had stopped tracking it. It had gone down after iOS 7, I am guessing it was around 7 hours.

The battery life was acceptable, it was the shutting off between 15-20 that was the problem.

It's been a while since anyone has posted to this thread, so let's see if we can stir up some posts with the rash of new phones acquired by the members.

Here's mine with my iPhone 6, a big improvement over the 5/5s, and those were quite good.

I'll have to do a battery life test on my new HTC ONE M8. Seems to last a lot longer though. The Vivid would be near death after 30 mins of GPS usage without the charger plugged in. While the battery is noticably discharged after 30 mins of GPS usage on battery power, it is not near death.

Boston has good coverage. And you have a big battery. Good combo.

I don't think it's the issue with coverage, it's more of "I want my battery to last me 18 hours a day with 4-5 hours of LTE usage outside". Cold & LTE are a pretty deadly combination from my prior experience.

I just meant the signal strength is pretty strong and that helps battery life.

Much better after turning off Wi-Fi, disabling Verizon bloatware and other unnecessary apps. Don't want to get rid of the weather-related live wallpaper I use, but it doesn't appear to be affecting battery life any.
