Maybe not angry with yelling and such, but be firm. Sound like you mean business. Wear a tie (wait, that usually works when going in person). You get the picture.

When I talk on the phone to them I am firm.

But then the reps are taught not to let anyone out of their contract early....unless something EXTREME happens.

So I will have to wait until I hear back from Sprint before I continue pursuing this matter further............

My suggestion is read the T&C carefully & see if they made a loophole in it to cover themselves with this statment & if not, you can try to use this as a way out of your contract, most T&C's cover themselves very well.

That is what I am afraid of.....:(

I know there is a part in there about the network and not every area designated as Sprint PCS is covered or something like that....so I will probably be stuck unless Verizon provides compensation for signing up with them....I might stop by my local store and ask them that....since we want to sign up for three lines and get three brand new phones.....hmmm I wonder... :hmm:

I didn't mention it before, but I had a reseller here in AZ pay the ETF's for our company when we went from Verizon to Alltel last year. At that time, it was $175 per line, and we were moving 8 lines over. If there is a reseller out there willing to do it, that would be to your benefit!

Maybe that is because there was 8 lines & the money they would make outweighed the cost of the ETF.

As for T&C coverage not everywhere doesn't cover clear calls unless it say's that specifically, unfortunatly I have never read Sprint's T&C to say for sure but if you give enough ammo to scare them it could work in your favor for them letting you go without paying the ETF, It doesn't hurt to check it out & try.

But what if something goes wrong with your phone?

Then you didn't buy the phone at an "actual" store. :(

Yeah....so that is another reason that I will have to read over the T&C's carefully. ;)

Very true, but I am a personal friend of the owner of the reseller, and he has taken care of me in the past. If I had a problem, I know he would resolve it. I got my V600 data cable from him and the first one he sent out was the wrong one. I sent it back, and within 5 days I had a new one from him that works great!

But will he do it with a new customer that just walks in out of no where, then comes back a couple of weeks or later for help? If he does then he is an excellent business man & is honorable, wish they all were like that then people wouldn't worry about dealing with any of them.

I think it really depends on the carrier they want to go to and how many lines they are signing up for. They are a Verizon, Sprint, Alltel and T-Mobile dealer, so they have some options for people. I just happened to be moving 8 lines at the time and he was willing to work with us on the ETF's.

That's a huge deal--he's getting your business, but had to pay a LOT of ETFs. At what point did he decide it was profitable for him?

I'm not sure what the commissions are for Alltel, but that is who we switched to. There has to be a point where the reseller says is a good breaking point for making money on new activations. I just don't know where that is.

    What if your phones malfunction?

Does the reseller have the same policies as the actual store? Also, what about the terms and conditions?

    Thanks.

They send it back to the manufacturer and replace it with one they have...

What about T&C, we signed an agreement with Alltel and the reseller. However, for us there was only an ETF from Alltel if we cancel...

It is a company that he started in Phoenix, I think he only has one office location. They are primarily B2B sales, they don't cater to the consumer all that much...

I'm sure there are some companies that do B2B sales out there, but they are usually private and you may have to do some digging.

Yesterday while i was out working, I saw something I haven't seen before. It was a blue van that said on the side of it Cingular, Mobile showroom. It was in the industrial area of town & I was wondering if they go to business's with it to sign new customers or set up FAN accounts.
I was hoping to see where it went to get more info from the people in it & hope to see it around again, I have been trying to get them to the firehouse to possible setup a FAN account for the guys at the firehouse, but they will not respond to my emails or request's, guess a 110 person dept. and a 160 person Police Dept. isn't enough customers for them.
