The nice people at Verizon decided to lock pictures permanently in the Razr phones memory, is there any way to remove them or turn off the lock to delete them manually?

Do not know of a SEEM or way to do this. Others have also tried, but no luck so far. Lot's of your questions are answered in the above sticky MOTOROLA RAZR CDMA VERSIONS V3C AND V3M thread.

It is a lot to read, but a lot excellent info.

You can do this very easily in BitPim. Go to filesystem /motorola/shared/picture and locate all the stock pics. Right click and delete them. This doesnt work for ringers however b/c Verizon DID lock this part

I had no problem deleting the system locked pictures using bitpim. Check to see that you have admin rights on your PC. The drop down when you right click should give you 4 options and they are: save, hexdump, delete and overwright.

For ringtones, go to the audio part in bitpim, just above ringtones, and delete the ones you want

You cant delete ringtones/audio files in bitpim, only pictures. If u try to access audio files under a/motorola/shared/audio, you will get an error saying the folder is locked by the phone's provider.

I deleted all the locked pictures. I'm not having any problems with the v3m, it works. When I turn off, then back on the screen has a message "Registering Applications". Any idea what this is? This is new since I deleted all the locked pictures.

    Regards,
    -Brian
