I was just wondering if/how you could tell who was using a tower. I know cellular companies do not put up their own towers but is there a way to tell somewhere in the registration what companies have antenna's on the towers?

For example this tower listed on the Tower Location Mapper has some recent entries in the FCC registration from a week ago and I was wondering if/how to tell if it was Cingular or Verizon putting antenna's up or working on getting approved for service on it.

    This is one

    This one too

They have both been semi-recently erected near me. There currently is no GSM in Oxford, NY which is where the one is so I was wondering if/how one could tell if there will soon be?

Perhaps I just need to be patient

Cingular is accepting Orders for this Zip
so they must be the one providing coverage.

No, they MUST not be the only one providing coverage in that area, since Verizon, for eample, also shows native coverage for that zip code.

I was thinking Oxford in Orange County (covered by Dobson),
but you meant Oxford in Upstate NY (Cingular Area).
    The New Cingular Coverage Map
    shows Coverage
    and is accepting orders,
I haven't been up there so I'm not sure.

I check everytime I drive through the area but am still up to a couple days ago getting only 1-2 bars in some ares but usually no service while in direct sight of the new tower.
