I've been trying to upload some mp3 songs on my pc into my a900 is that even possible if so how? if so how can I send that to my media player?
You can do it two different ways. Bluetooth or the USB cable that came with the phone. Fastest way is the USB. I tried the BT method but aborted it due to a slow xfer speed. Just install the a900 drivers on your PC (you can get these from www.samsung.com) Once the drivers are installed, plug the usb cable into the phone and PC. On the phone, navigate to MENU->Tools->Mass Storage->Connect to PC. Both the phone and PC should beep to let you know that you are connected. On the PC, open up My Computer and you should see an new drive called 'Removable Disk'. Open that up. Now just copy your .mp3's into the folder named 'Media' and you can play the files through the phones media player (Menu->Media Player->Mass Storage) Remember that you only have about 47MB of space available. That should give you roughly 45 mins of music depending on the bit-rate of the mp3 files. Now, if someone could just tell us how to make these MP3s into ringtones on the A900, I'd be all set... Hope this helps.
This didn't work for me. It couldn't read the file and I can't get anything to show up in the media player.
Well I got it know but it only reads .mp3 formats. Man that sucks. I use iTunes so none of my music can go in except for my few mp3s.
http://www.samsungtelecom.com/drivers/driver.asp?model=SPH-A900.zip Go there. Agree to terms. Download and then double click to unzip the file. Pay attention to where it unzips to and then double click on setup.exe to install the driver. Do so with the phone unplugged. It will require a reboot. After reboot plug in the phone, go to Tools,Mass Storage, Connect to PC and you should see it show up as a drive on your pc.
I converted my wma songs on my computer to mp3 and it still says it cannot read my file. What am I suppose to do?
I did all the above, and it still says it can't read the file. All of them are .mp3. Does anyone know what is going on?
Ok i converted to .aac using a trial version audio decoder. Now, the songs show up in the media player and either freeze the phone or dont play at all. it shows the name of the song and 0:00:00/00:00:00 and theres an option to pause it not play it. why is this so damn complicated?
i just got my new Samsung A900 but i can't seem to connect my phone to my computer. i downloaded the driver from the Samsung web site and i ran the setup.exe. but now i try to run the driver called ---> Samsung USB Driver (MCCI 4.16) and this is what i get does any one know what does this mean. can i do all this with Windows 98SE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I added some pictures to show you what i got CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT.
what if i just have bluetooth connection with my computer, i already moved the mp3's to my cell phone but the media player doesnt play em and what about the ringtones?? how can i use my mp3's as ringtones?? keep me posted
I have a cool website that you can customize your own songs from your computer to ringtones. I've been asked not to put the link to forums though so if you want to e-mail me @ jw4jc1@excite.com, I will get you the info. Make sure you put Samsung A900 in the subject line though.
I don't know how to put music in your A900, but you can follow these steps to put music on you A900: 1. Get a CD with you favorite music on it. 2. Place your A900 on a table laying flat. 3. Place the CD on top of your A900. Congratualtions, you successfully put music on your A900 :lmao: Sorry, I couldn't reisist!
aight i found out what to do. First you plug the cable up to ur phone go to tools and put connect to phone. Then for me i just copy the songs i want into windows media player. then i put copy songs to removable disc thing which is the phone. then i go to music which should show up and press copy. After you copy the songs u want go back to ur phone and press done. Go to menu and go to music. then instead of going to store go to player. go under all music and the songs you downloaded should be there. if there not there then they arent in the right format.
First you need to go to sprint Music store, ..log into your account online at sprint.com, click on the sprint music store icon, register. Then your ready to go, once you find what your looking for and purchase it will send a link to your phone. Your recieve 2 copies, one to download on your phone and one to down on your home PC for back-up. It will give you step by step instructions after you log into your sprint music store.
The easiest way that I have found is to open My Comuter -> open drive with the phone attached -> open the Media file -> Open folder where music is located -> cascade the two boxes (giving room to drag and drop) and drag the music from the folder with your Music to the folder connected to your phone. Don't worry it will simply copy the song It won't erase it.
I'm not sure if the A900 is the same as the T809 with T-mobile, but before you upload the mp3 to your phone, change the extension from mp3 to 3gp, and it will play in the media player and allow you to use it as a ringer. Again, that works for the Samsung T809, but I'm not sure if it works on the A900, could someone try that and let us know if it works. You might need to enable your computer to display the extensions of known files. You can do that by going to folder options, then view and checking the bullet.
Also, the easiest way to change an mp4 or aac is by making a music cd in itunes on a cdrw, then rip the files back to mp3 with free software or go into the options in windows media player and set it to rip to an mp3 instead of wma.
I found a way to make the mp3's much smaller. go to download.com and download Free Mp3 Wma Converter. Then load your mp3 into it and set your output settings to: Mono 32000 hz and 56kbit It should cut it to about 1.3mb which should allow more music for the phone. Also If you want to upload Mp3s as ringtones to your phone you need to cut them to about 30 seconds and go to Rumkin.com and use their Sprint phone uploader and send it to your phone. Hope all your problems are solved.
