hello, sorry for posting my question here, but I really need to recover my deleted messages on my phone. Samsung Galaxy S6 with Android 5.1 OS. The messages have been deleted for 3 days and I still keep using my phone, some people in google said the "deleted data" was covered by new data and can't be recovered any more... is it right? and is it possible to recover my messages?
It's a soft delete and they are just marked as available storage for new coming data. If it was deleted not a long ago, then it's quite possible to get them back.
From Androidpit recommendation, MobiKin, Fonepaw, Dr.Fone, many third party Android Recovery tools can help retrieve deleted data.
In fact ,the mesages are can't immediately from phone memory or SD cared after they are deleted by you do,you can get them back from android phone , what you need is an effective recovery tool to helps you do ,
Actually, if the deleted messages were not overwritten by new data, you can easily use Android data recovery tool, such as Vibosoft DR.Mobile for Android to get them back. So the first thing you need do is not using your Samsung Galaxy S6 right now.
As far as I know, you should root the phone first if you used third-party app to recover the messages.
I agree on that. Unlike iPhone, which disk is encrypted in default, you can still recover deleted files on Android.
I know what your purpose is, this is done to prevent data from being overwritten , but if you can't recover lost data for a long time, maybe these data can be covered on phone ,
Google is correct, once these deleted data is covered by other data , it is hard to recover back them , \ perhap , you can ask some Professional tools for help .
BTW, you can try this tool to scan your Samsung . maybe the deleted text messages can be found on your phone ,such as the Mobiledic Android Data Rescuer , and Android Rescuer ,
Well , i knwo the Mobiledic.com . you can get more tutorials about how to recover phone data , But it's not free to use them.
This Coolmuster Samsung Messages Recovery, which is absolutely the most effective tool to help users retrieve lost Samsung messages. As this software enables you to preview your lost text message conversations before restoring, you can pick out your wanted messages and recover them selectively. By the way, this Samsung Messages Recovery program will display all existing and deleted messages on your Samsung mobile phone after scanning your device. Thus, you are able to restore all messages to computer as a backup in case of losing them twice.
Samsung Galaxy S6 SMS recovery tool - MobiKin Doctor for Android , which is a well-known data recovery tool allows you to restore deleted and lost text messages from Samsung Galaxy S6, and save them on computer as HTML file format. In addition to that, you can also retrieve contacts, photos, videos, music, documents, call logs and more from overall Android mobile phones, even if your mobile devices are broken with broken screen or black screen. It will preserve all the information related to SMS, including contact names, text contents, send and received time, etc.
Well, first you would have to root your phone which may take different steps depending on your carrier. If you are with Verizon or at&t chances are you cannot root due to a locked bootloader. After you have unlocked your bootloader, flashed your recovery, backed up your system and rooted it's as simple as going on the play store and picking the app that seems most appealing to you in that a field. There are many apps that will do it all you have to do is search the term “undelete”. Like I said though there's no guarantee that you'll get everything back.
Samsung don't have a trashcan so you are unable to restore your deleted messages from recycle bin directly. But, this does not mean the messages are completely deleted from your device. Actually, they just remain invisible to you but still in your Samsung phone. In this case, the only way to view and recover them is to use some Samsung recovery tool.
This a quite older thread but I'm sure most of the users still have this problem. As a solution I would suggest keep SMS Backup & restore app installed on your Android (Available in the Google play store). You cannot recover previously deleted message through this. But it's good option for accidental deletion. Also, you can simply contact your network carrier to recover deleted messages
