Hi, I don't know if this is the right place or not, but I need the P2K Commander for my Motorola V3a phone and I do not know how to do a zip file. Could someone please help me?

    Thank you.

If you don't know how to even handle zip files I strongly urge you to not use P2K Commander. There are no safeguards in the program, and it will let you delete or modify critical files needed to operate your phone. If you don't know what you're doing with that program you could very easily convert your phone into a very expensive paperweight.

For novice users I recommend using MPT (Mobile Phone Tools) available from www.BVRP.com. That software will not let you screw up your phone.

What are you trying to do to your phone? If you simply want to copy files on and off it, sync contacts to your computer, etc., follow Jay's advice and get Motorola Phone Tools. You can google for it and get it pretty cheap.

On the other hand, if you are trying to change microphone/speaker gain settings, etc., you need something like P2K. Commander. But that is most certainly not for newbies - you can really mess up your phone if you don't know what you are doing.

I want to delete My Tones.db and unplug my phone and reboot it so that my phone will recreate a new My phone Tone .db.

P2K Commander will do that. However, if using MPT to add tones to the phone, deleting the tones.db file is not necessary as the MPT software updates the file.
