I bought a verizon lg vx 8100 cell phone used and when I tried to have it activated they told me the phone was on a lost or stolen list. What can I do?Does anybody know if you can change the esn or if you have to wait for a certain period of time for it to go off of the list? Please help if you can. Thank you.

Changing the ESN is illegal, so that's out of the question. If the phone was lost or stolen, the person who made the report is the only one who can "clear" the ESN. If you bought it on eBay and paid with PayPal you may have a chance at getting your money back.

Sorry to hear about your situation, but the only thing you can do along with reporting it to PP would be to contact Verizon so the phone can be returned to it's owner. Once an ESN number has been reported the only way it can be removed is by the original owner reporting it as being recovered.
