I'm about to switch to Sprint (maybe next week) but I was wondering if guys who work for Sprint know what next months promotions will be yet? I was looking to go with this plan here Total = Anytime + Night & Weekend Over Total Over (per KB) Monthly Charge 4500 = 500 + 4000 $.40 2 MB $.02 $ 44.99 Will this deal still be around in October? Also how do text messages work with Sprint? How are they counted (time, amount of them, as kb) and how much are they? Thanks for your help guys like always.
Hey Verizon boy, that's just your opinion. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean everyone else shouldn't like them either. If this guy is leaving Verizon, he has probably has a good reason. Where I live, Verizon isn't even option, so I guess my opinion should be that Verizon sucks. Sprint is the best here. That doesn't mean it's the best service everywhere, it's just the best where I live. So, let's just assume for you that Sprint sucks in Arizona and leave it at that. With that said, I believe the promo plans are scheduled to go till the end of October, so that plan should be pretty safe. Text messages are free, but not really. They are not counted with Sprint's new plans. You have to use your the Short Message option on your phone which logs you into the Vision service and then you compose the message online. So, you burn KB connecting and you burn KB with the message itself. Of course it varies depending on the size of the message and no one really knows exactly how much KB is drained just having to connect to the service to compose the message, so at this point it's hard to say. There's been some long discussions on phonescoop.com's SprintPCS group debating this exact issue if you're looking for a lot more detail.
How long did it take to get the first email? I ordered on Sunday and have yet to recieve an email? Is this normal? How long did it take for you to get your phone?
I'm assuming you ordered online. I bought mine at Best Buy, so I can't say how long it took, but I would think there would be a confirmation e-mail by now. You might want to call and confirm the order. Unforunately, the Sprint website can be unreliable at times, so it would be worth checking to make sure they got it.
YOU WERE PROBABLY ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO WENT OVER THIER MINUTES AND THOUGHT SPRINT SHOULD CREDIT IT ALL OFF, WEREN'T YOU?? SHEEESE ITS PEOPLE LIKE THAT, WHO CAUSE WIRELESS COMPANIES TO HIKE UP THEIR PRICES..
ORDERS THROUGH SPRINTPCS.COM USUALLY GO THROUGH PRETTY QUICKLY, AND NORMALY RECIVE THE PHONE WITHIN 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS.. USUALLY SOONER THAN THAT.. WHENEVER I ORDER A NEW PHONE I GET IT UPS 2ND DAY AIR. BUT IF YOUR USING SOME SBDN (SMALL BUSINES DEALER NETWORK) RETAILER FROM THE INTERNET.. WHO KNOWS WHEN YOU'LL GET IT... I DON'T LIKE THEM GUYS.
No i just put it in thru there website on Sunday, I have yet to recieve any email from them opr anything. Do they have anywere on there website to check placed orders?
Spint always seems to change promotions, my 2 year contract will be forever at this rate, hehe I change plans about once every 6 months.
The plan is available through 10/31/02. With Sprint PCS you can change your plan at anytime you just sign a new contract for the plan relevant to what you are switching to. Sprint PCS is the most dynamic customer based wireless company anyone could go with. You have a lot of flexibilty with Sprint PCS and it will exceed your service with Verizon 100 times better. Verizon, Cingular, T-Mobile and AT&T really shouldn't even be compared to Sprint PCS because their technology is still in the stone age. They are basically running a upscale version of Analog. I have had Sprint PCS since they came out and the rest of the wireless carriers are garbage. When they try to cell my a phone I laugh at their dinosaur phone and show them my A500. No other carrier can even come close to Sprint PCS.
