Just found out one of my lines is eligible for New Every Two. I haven't been keeping up since I left the wireless industry, so I am relying on my phone freak friends here. Has to be LG or Samsung. What phones have the best reputation for working well, and with good features? I'd read the other threads, but I only get a few minutes a night on the computer.

    Thanks in advance!

I've had real good luck with my LG. So far it's fairly solid, but make sure it has the current phone software version in it. There are a few lurking bugs in the old software.

Is money no object? LG 7100 or Samsung A670.

    LG 7100? :headscrat

As far as LG goes, nothing that has been released has really been a worthy predecessor to the 6K imho, i was anxiously waiting on the 7K but was disappointed once i saw a working display at the store, too bulky for my taste, so i guess if i was to pick a phone right now i would have to go with a Samy a670 or even an a610 though its about as big as the 7k.....

7000, 7100...what's the difference. ;) It's a Verizon phone so it may as well not exist. :p

    The A610 weighs a ton.

I have the 670 and its a darn good phone, but as soon as that beautiful 710 is available, then my mom gets the 670 and I finally get a moto back.

Thought the A670 has the camera, I like the A650. The handset volume was nice and loud and the size is a little bigger than the A530.

I thought new every two is when you choose from a certain selection of phones to get for free. If I'm correct (which I'm probably not lol), the last phone you'll get for free is a A670 or a VX7000.

You get a $100 credit to any phone. Since Verizon usually has a few phones priced under $100 with 2 yr contract, that is how they call it a "free" phone every 2 years. You can always use the $100 toward a more expensive phone and then pay the difference.

The Samsung 670. Its an awesome phone. Although with the 7000 you can actually send you videoclips....

I just went to VZW...Good to see that half the phones they sell are still junk. WTF is up with the 7000? Can we say "ugly"? I think I'm just going to get the A650. I just dont give a rats behind about cameras and stuff anymore. And I want my NE2 on my second line to be a free phone. I'll stick with my trusty 6000 on my primary.

That a670 IS a sweet phone. Probably the best they got.

When did VZW get the Treo smartphone?

I did not like that store on 161. That's where I did my "EZ Move" from Florida to Ohio and that is where they changed my calling plan and restarted my contract date without telling me. The Easton store is pretty good, it's usually just packed with customers so wait times can be pretty long.

Delta, no one ever leaves the Wireless Industry. Even though you've been busy laying carpet (or is it cleaning carpet? I can't remember... anyway...) it's still in you blood. That's why you visit this site with the few mintues you have to go online. That's why eventually, you'll probably end up working for Verizon and that's why you'll probably die from brain cancer from using your wireless phone so much... just like the rest of us.

LG Phones vs Samsung Phones for Verizon

And weren't you mad at them after your latest round of interviews that you were going to switch to Nextel, Delta?

I dont like the 650. Id rather have the 3200 over that. The 670 is awesome tho... I realized I screwed up on my last post, you can send video. on the 670.

I'd say the 670. Seems like a nice phone. I'm not too fond of LG's and if TonyE doesn't like the 7000, then I would certainly stay away from it.

Yeah, but...Contract end is still a long way off, the service still is great, and the key thing...my GF's family just switched from Nextel to Verizon. So we'd be screwing ourselves.

As for the new phone...as I mentioned elsewhere, I will hold out for the V710.
