Pretty sad. He was a good actor.

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan apartment, and police said drugs may have been a factor. The Australian-born actor was 28. Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the residence in the tony SoHo neighborhood, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said. A housekeeper who went to let him know the massage therapist had arrived found him dead at 3:26 p.m.

Saw something on it watching CNN. They keep citing an interview where Heath says he could not get over how dark the role of the Joker was and how it affected him emotionally. Like the movie role killed him.

What a shame. Really talented guy. And seemingly very down-to-earth too. Worst of all, a 2 year old girl lost her father.

I read it was something to do with an accidental OD of some controversial sleeping pills or something. Yea, they said he was stressed about Batman and took them cause his mind was racing all the time and couldn't sleep.

Truly sad news. Something is wrong with young performers these days...Entertainment news is all about stupid Britney, Lindsey, and some English singer Amy Winehouse.

I feel for Heath's little girl who will grow up without her father.:(

I'm sure what made it hard for them was being half a world away in Australia when this happened. They seem to be doing OK considering what happened, but they also seem to be in denial about what really could have been the cause of death. Can't say I blame them though...:(
