I do. But I actually haven't tested the send/receive button on the ear piece. Completely forgot about it. I'll check it out next time I'm in my car to see if it works. I know the earpiece works, but I'm not sure about the send/receive button. I have a Samsung OEM ear piece that I used with my Samsung T300.
Doesn't work. The hardware (not software) in the 4400 won't support send/receive buttons on headsets. Even the OEM LG version won't work. I don't know what bonehead in development came up with that idea, but it is one of the primary reasons I am ditching my 4400 in the next couple days and going back to my old phone.
What was it you said before....aahhh...yess..."Great googly moogly!" Well...I do know that you can push a side button (mic button?) while the phone is closed and you have an ear piece in and it asks you who you want to call....
My old (and soon tobe current once again) phone is the SonyEricsson T61c. And Malial is correct, you can initiate voice dial by pressing the mic key while a headset is attached and the phone is closed. To end your call you must wait for the other person to hang up. This is fine if you get through to them, but not good if they don't answer and you want to hang up before an aswering machine picks up so you don't waste your minutes leaving a message. Also, still no way to answer a call without opening the flip even if there is a headset attached. Like I just said, it baffles me that such a feature could be overlooked. I mean, this pretty much renders the phone difficult to legally use while driving in New York and soon many other states as well as such laws requiring hands-free use while driving are enacted.
to answer the phone with a headset attached I just set the phone to auto answer, either 1 ring or 3 rings and I dont have to touch the phone until I want to hang up.
yeah, but you still have to touch the phone...not very hands-free. Still, if someone calls you they will probably hang up, meaning you don't have to touch the phone even to do that. The biggest problem is when dialing out while using a handset and then having to hang up. Also, if you forget to turn the auto-answer off, it will auto-answer even when no headset is attached...another bonehead move by LG.
