Hi, I have been reading this forum for the past couple hours and just dont understand what would be the best wireless provider for me. I would like to stick to Sprint/Nextel because of the 15% percent discount I get with them every month but I have heard bad stories bout them too. Point blank, I want a cell that has good coverage in all bands. please school me on this.
first off welcome to the forum. now to answer your question I am sure one of the so cal l members can give you more detailed info about what carriers have the best coverage in your area but my advice would be to test drive sprint/nextel and see how it works out for you you should have a trial period that you can use to test out the phones and carrier if you find you don't like a carrier you would then just pay for airtime you have used.
Sprint is strong in your area and they have good roaming agreements to back up the areas where coverage is lacking. They have better coverage than Nextel if in you area if I am not mistaken.
exactly 90019 is were I live but I work in downtown LA 90071 and I costantly go camping so im all over SoCal.. I called nextel yesterday and bug the ____ out of them and they decided to let me go for 100 for 2 lines...not bad huh like I said I wanna stick to Sprint/nextel because of the discount but I dont know many ppl with sprint...any help with this guy will be sweet..
Sprint is very strong all over Greater Los Angeles, from one end to the other. There may be some weak spots here and there, but that's the case with every provider here. I think Mobile to Mobile works between both Sprint and Nextel subs (provided you're willing to pay a few bucks for the privilege). I can't imagine this not being the case. Have the best of both Sprint/Nextel and get one of the IC series phones. There's the IC402, IC502, and high-end IC902. That way you'd be on Sprint for calls and Nextel for walkie-talkie.
what I would like to do is..and nextel kinda told me this. Is to try sprint, get there 30 day try out period and then cancel before 30 days so I wont get hit with any ETF charges.. what do you think?? may it work?
Go for it. Did they say you would get an ETF for porting within Sprint/Nextel??? Or are you talking about going to another carrier?
