located in San Francisco, seem to have the best price ($10) to unlock my T68i..
*but* their website looks exactly like cellunlock.com which is located in Canada.
    Just seems somewhat shady.

Just wondering if anyone here has used their service with good results.........

Yes, I did - twice. I had a T68i SIM unlocked for $10 and I had a different T68i re-flashed to unlock both the SIM and the browser for $20. I called him, made an appointment, went over and got it done quickly and efficiently. No problems. Smooth.

I recremend either gsm.virtualdynamix.com or www.omega-networks.net... probably offering the best most comprehensive services available.

    Just an update:

I actually went ahead and sent my almost new T68i to cellunlocker.com. And it came back via overnight Fedex as promised, and it cost me $15 total.. so I'm happy. I think that's the cheapest unlocking service I've seen. I was skeptical but it turned out well.

Perhaps visiting in person for a repair is safe ... I paid for and mailed my CellPhone to be unlocked almost two months ago. I'm still waiting an no reply to MANY emails. I would suggest someone else.

And you used him? I think his name is Oleg.
Hmm.. surprising that he would only rip some people off and not others.

I am not so surprised has he ripped off a few websites to make his. He copied most of http://www.cellunlock.com/ to make his site. He then did a find and replace on cellunlock to become cellunlocker. He did it twice on some pages, so it says cellunlockerer er er? Still hasn't fixed that. then he copied text directly from other websites as well. Profiting off of other peoples work.

    Yup. It is Oleg.
I took the phones to him in person in San Francisco - had one unlocked and the other flashed.
The unlocked one worked fine. But my flashed phone now has the common 55 hours max standby
problem. According to some discussion in esato, this is due to bad flash code - version is correct,
but the code is tainted with some bad setting. He promised to fix any problem when he did the flash.
But he never returned email when I asked him to fix it. I tried 4 to 5 times already over the last 4
    months, he just ignored me.

He is also doing business on eBay. He is not a total flake, but his customer's service (or lack thereof)
leave much to desire. There were a few negative reviews, but more good ones. So if you FEEL LUCKY,
you may give him a try.

I am now looking for a good source to reflash my phone with a guarantee. Anyone?

I can't locate him on eBay anymore. That may mean he may have changed id.
Just avoid anyone with a fair number of negative feedback.[IMG]

If the establishment that is doing the flash is not a Sony Ericsson Service Point, then you are risking
damaging your phone. This will also void your warranty. These establishments are not likely using
    EMMA II.

They are likely using a hack tool such as the logger, that kills bluetooth and standby on about 10%
    of the phones.
