    Happy Turkey Day to all the Americans here (and Canadians, too, a bit late ;)).

    Give thanks to whatever you believe in, or just to your lucky stars, that you are among the fortunate ones. Most days I am a cynical pessimist. Today, as we raise a glass with our family and friends, I will be thankful to be safe and warm, well fed and well loved, in a world that has too little of all of these.

    Do a good deed for those less fortunate this holiday season.
