Well I went to see some fireworks with my family and then we went out to dinner. What did everyone else do yesterday?
Worked, grilled, ate, lit some fireworks, watched kids light punks thinking they were cool because it looked like they were smoking, went home and to bed.
Sounds interesting. How old were those kids? I have seen middle school kids on the way home from school before in my neighborhood trying to act cool...lol. How has the weather been up in your area? Warm? I was watching the Weather Channel, and it said it has been warm up in Illinois and the midwest and you haven't had a lot of rain (in certain areas).
The kids were 10-15 in range......about 6 or 7 of them. It has been warm.....but cool the past few days. It is only supposed to be in the upper 70's Wednesday BUT back into the 90's for Sat-at least Monday :highclap:
Hmm, let's see, I went swimming, practically burned to a crisp, went swimming again, went to the beach, went back to the family pool and swam again, and again, and again. In between all of this swimming, it did eat!
We had 10 of our friends over for a late lunch/early dinner. "SO" did all the cooking. All the items were pretty creative/exotic dishes not hamburgers, brats or hotdogs, not even steak, I was quite impressed. My job was to make margaritas and an appetizer. Had a great time and the weather was perfect.
Cool shot... I picked up a book, a dvd (Wonder Woman Season 3), then some take out bbq and watched the fireworks on TV.
I had fun I got to sleep in, bbq, spend time with family. It was all and all a good day. I didnt get to watch any fireworks though because I had to drive back home during that time they were going off.
Because of the fireworks, and the 4th isn't considered a holiday for us, I had to setup the field for the fireworks & once they arrived, for security reason's had to stay with the crew until well after the show, especially in our area with the concerns they still have. Also we had to make sure nothing was coming down on the crowd like burning embers, as well as make sure the buildings, homes & small woods where they shoot the fireworks had no fires, so we didn't get done till after 11PM.
Well that's interesting...at least you were in the middle of the action I got to watch a firework on Friday and another one on Monday and they were both great. I went on a mountain to watch all the fireworks go off right after dark in the whole valley and it was beautiful.
I slept most of the day. Then my mom & I went out to eat, and after we met my sister, my nephews, & niece to watch the casino fireworks.
Yeah that's a good idea. Is there a lot of parks down there that do big fireworks? Sugar House Park is one of the big ones up here in SLC.
I've been in CO, since last Wednesday. I've been hangin w/ my Best Friend. We were going to go to a lake & watch fireworks, but instead, we just hung out at his place, BBQ'd, & popped off some fireworks!!! It was a blast- (couldn't resist!!!). Also, I've been drinking heavily- which I normally don't do at all!!! Good Times. I will be flying home tomorrow (Wednesday), & returning to normalcy!!! I hope you all were safe guys!!!
Yeah most of the near by cities do them but the stadium of fire does most of them http://www.freedomfestival.org
It's that new underwater housing I made for it. Reception isn't that great though, hard to get a rf signal through water. It was fun though nd the lake wasn't very crowded.
