    Have no idea, but just like the USA, CDMA is strong in Latin America. In fact in Dom. Rep., 3 of the 4 carriers are CDMA (two are 800/1900 and one 1900) and only one carrier is GSM1900.

    GSM is Now the Biggest
    in Latin America w/ 51% Market Share.
    Because some TDMA and CDMA Carriers
    converted to GSM.
