I've now get the unlimited calling & texting package for my GoPhone card for 60$ and this oacket includes international texting too, but not internetional calling, right? Now my question is, includes the unlimited texting package interational texting too?
Yes, the $60 "Unlimited Talk & Text" feature package that is available for the GoPhone with the "Simple" ($0.25/minute) rate plan includes text and IM to Mexico/100 other countries, but it does not include voice calls to those countries. The regular "unlimited messaging" feature package ($19.99/month) that is available with any of the PayGo rate plans does not include messaging to international locations to my knowledge. However - and I wouldn't count on this - I've previously seen a number of people indicate that when they send messages to international locations the message has been charged at the domestic messaging rate ($0.20) or was deducted from their messaging package. So I don't know if that is intentional and at&t's GoPhone feature information on their website is out of date or if it's a billing system error that could be corrected at some point in time.
They say at the 60$ plan that it is to USA, Mexico & 100 countrys, but i can't find anything by the normal unlimited texting pakages, so if anyone knows it...
I get charged 50 cents for sending an international text with my regular unlimited messaging plan. Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 1.6; en-us; SonyEricssonX10a Build/R2CA016) AppleWebKit/528.5+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Mobile Safari/525.20.1
That sounds wrong, you should only be charged $.50 for sending a text message when roaming internationally, unless of course AT&T has bumped up their prices yet again. The standard rate (which they seem to be able to bill correctly for postpaid accounts) is $.25 for a message to international destination. Of course that means that messages longer that 160 Latin-1characters (or 67 UTF-8 characters, assuming AT&T hasn't dropped their Unicode support completely) would cost more in $.25 increments, so maybe that's the case with you The last time I checked with prepaid (PAYG) they indeed failed to bill appropriately and were just taking international messages out of the 200 message package.
IIRC I was charged 50 cents for sending "Happy Birthday & Many Happy Returns Xxxxxx, love Yyyyy & Zzzzz" to my niece back in April. Maybe, I should ask for a 25 cent credit.. You should've done so in April If nothing else, the satisfaction of knowing your call to CS has cost AT&T more than the $.25 they swindled from you would be good
