Seems like Google put the cart ahead of the horse when they released the Nexus One... Google Building Phone Support for Nexus One - PCWorld It might be best for them to mitigate this issue before the phone makes its way to Verizon and AT&T...
The weird part is that the article makes it sound like it never occurred to them that they'd need live support.
Judging from what happened, it seems Google underestimated the need for more support outside of the online arena. Had the phone not been so problematic, their approach might have worked. The real culprits in this are all three involved: HTC for missing the beat on how the phone would perform on T-Mobile, T-Mobile for the same reason, and Google for not crossing all "T's" and dotting all "I's" before its release. After all, this was their baby. Where was quality control with the three of them??? Maybe QC is a victim of the recession.. Just my :twocents:.
