I plan on getting a new phone on or around August 1st. The LG PM-225 is most likely the one I'm going to get. I want a phone with good earpiece sound quality and LG seems to do the best at that among Sprint phones. I'm going to qualify for a $75 rebate on 8-1 since I've had my current phone for one full year. As part of my new 2 year required contract I'm going to ask for free 7PM N&W as well. :) I currently have free 8PM but since others have reported 7PM for free I figure why not go for it.

    Here's what I have now:

    $35/mo, 350 anytime + N&W @ 8pm + FIMF + $10 U/L Vision + 10% CU Corp discount + 5% loyalty discount

So the 7PM N&W for free will make this deal even better.

That's a pretty good deal Larry, in celebration of your contract renewal I created a new avatar for you based on the final Sprint Logo! I hope you like it.

Also forgot to note that my plan has free U/L text, picturemail and videomail included with the $10 U/L Vision.

That's what I wish I had. I did sign up for the $45/500m vision plan which included 2MB initially then went to unlimited everything, but I got rid of it. Vision was painfully slow on the Sanyo 4900 so I had no idea what I was throwing away. I'm still not too bad off as I do have $10 Vision with 100 SMS, picturemail, videomail and a $5 monthly download credit, but I just love those MSNBC news alerts. :D Maybe I'll stop being cheap and spring $5 for unlimited text. :O

I can say that my PM-325 has a wonderful earpiece... so much better than my old Sanyo 5400 did. :) I would assume that the 225 would be pretty much similar.

Well I picked up my LG PM-225 tonight and it's now activated. :) I'll write more tomorrow as it's very late now.

Oh yeah! I just got free 7PM N&W added to my account. :D So this is my plan now:

    $35/mo, 350 anytime + Free N&W @ 7pm + FIMF + $10 U/L Vision + 10% CU Corp discount + 5% loyalty discount

I did have to renew for two years to get it but I was going to do that anyway to get the $75 rebate for my new phone. I'm happy.

Uh oh. I just checked my invoice online and there is a $5/charge for 7PM N&W. It was promised to be free.

Well yes and no. I just called and found out that even though I'm getting a $5 charge for it I'm also getting a $5 credit for it every month (others on sprintusers.com have confirmed this method as well). So yes I am getting it free. Apparently that's the way Sprint has to set it up since there's no longer a code to just apply it with a 0 charge. As long as it's free I don't mind.

However I lost my FIMF because the particular code I had for it wouldn't work once they added the free 7PM. So I guess I lose my beloved FIMF for now. Oh well I'd rather have free 7PM N&W if I had to choose between the two.

Sprint is so bizarre - I have free 7PM and FIMF and I think I got them both at the same time you did. Here's my plan - 750 AT ($40), roaming ($5), Vision ($10), PictureMail ($0), VideoMail ($0), U/L text messaging ($0), Business Connection Personal Edition ($0), FIMF ($0), insurance ($5), 7PM nights ($0), additional line ($20, but they gave me a $240 credit so it's really $10), plus discounts totalling 31% every month - so my before-tax charge is only $56 a month. And I have credits that will be paying my bill for more than the next 3 months. I know I'm not typical, and I'm certainly not going to complain, but Sprint has to be losing money on me, especially since I have the PPC6600 and stream movies and radio whenever I want. - sheureka

The problem is there are various codes in Sprint's system for the same thing and sometimes a certain code won't work with a certain other option. Over time Sprint changes these things so it's possible for someone to get something but another can't. What I need to do is find a different code for FIMF and call CS and see if that one will work with the free 7PM N&W. The rep I got was very helpful and tried her best to give me the FIMF back but said the system rejected the code over and over.
